Will B: TDK diminish the waiting time for S: RoS?

I think it will because some of the people in line for S: RoS will now be in line for B: TDK.  I'm sure all of you agree with me that the lines will seem shorter.

-----------------
TOP 5
1. Alpengeist, 2. Magnum XL-200, 3. Superman: Ride of Steel (SFNE), 4. Volcano: The Blast Coaster, 5. Apollo's Chariot
Close Calls 1. Grizzly (PKD), 2. Batwing, 3. Montu

Thats the whole point, SFNE adds B:DK to elude people from S:ROS to B:DK!
-----------------
Out of the coasters i've ridden here is what I rank them overall:(ive been to canobie lake and SFNE)
1. S:RoS 2. Yankee Cannonball 3. Riverside Cyclone 4. Canobie
Corkscrew 5. Thunderbolt 6. Galaxy 7. Mind Eraser 8. Dragon coaster 9. poison ivy's tangl
Actually, I think they are hoping for a slight increase in attendance with the addition of a multi-million dollar B&M coaste. :)

I won't make it to SFNE this year, but that's going to be quite a steel combo you guys have out there. I honestly wouldn't know which ride to run to first.

Who am I kidding, S:ROS all the way!  ;)

2001:The downfall of Disney. The year they stopped asking the mouse for his opinion.

DWeaver, I'm with you all the way on tht one! Just kidding, but seriously, for me it will depend on how they theme it and how many people run to B:DK first. Personally, I am going to go to The Dark Knight first on opening day of course, but it depends on how good it is. If it is as god as S:RoS, which I sort of doubt, then I'll go to that first, if SROS remains king, I'll go to that first. It also depends which ride wil have longer lines that day. Ask anyone from SFA what happened when Batwing opened, if people ran to SROS or to Batwing.
Well, personally, I think that in the end S:RoS' lines will barely be helped. Six Flags said itself that this ride is just an "attendance maintainer." That means that it's not meant to increase attendance but to keep it at the level that they've had in the past 2 years. I think that after the first 2 months everyone will realize that S:RoS is more worth the wait then B:DK and therefore this ride will only help S:RoS' line a little bit. I guess maybe 10 mins. after the first two monthes. During that introduction period I think B:DK will lower S:RoS' wait time by 30 mins. simply because it is something new that the people haven't ridden yet.

I will like B: TDK and if everybody goes to S: RoS after the first 2 months of the season then I'll hit B: TDK until the line gets long.

Hymmmmm, which do I ride first, the B&M or the Intamin?

What a lovely problem to have...

Have you ever considered that maybe it's not the park that's the problem, but YOU?

to help u out, a lot of people were waiting by the batwing entrance all day.  S:RoS's line could have been shorter than it was, but it was a friday/saturday.  people will most likely go for the new ride.

DWeaver, see this...we don't *always* disagree....that Intamin coaster (which I've yet to ride, BTW) could keep my attention for a WHILE.....but I'd have to get at least one or two spins on their shiny new Beemer, esp. with that compact layout...

It should take away from S:ROS since a lot of the GP will say stuff like "That one goes upside down, so it's better than Superman."

Your right, and most of the GP doesn't remember airtime or doesn't like it. Like my friend said, "I liked S:RoS except for all the parts where I felt like I was gonna get thrown out." I laughed in disbelief of not liking that sensation and continued on in the conversation.

SFNE Freak...that is SO good I want to use it in my sig....

The parts where I'm "gonna get thrown out"...I'll travel thousands of miles for that sensation, and have the Visa bills to prove it;)...I still find it hard to believe you changed your screen name (and I've only ridden the "crappy" version at SFA).  Can't wait to visit "your" version, LOL.

I agree with haux, some of my friends like Shockwave Batman better than Raging Bull simply because it goes upside down. They say Raging Bull is good, but it is boring because you never go upside down. Plus, B:DK is brand new, and GP think new is better most of the time. But, wouldn't the park expect more people to come to the park with the addition of a new coaster?

I would think that the same number of people will still want to ride S:ROS as before. But, since B:TDK is newer, it would build up a longer line sooner in the day than Superman. S:ROS is still the biggest coaster in the park, and people (enthusiasts and GP alike) tend to always want to ride the biggest coaster in any given park.

Nothing... NOTHING... can prepare you for... the Fourth Dimension!

DWeaver:  you're right.  It never really hit me until now that we have a B&M and an Intamin combo.  I knew we had it of course but it never sunk in until now.  Man this is awesome.

You're right seasupersonic, that will be cool for you to have a B&M/ Intamin combo. I'm not to upset though, my home park being SFOG and all...

rollergator, how come you find it hard to believe I changed my SN from srosatsfne? I thought it was the crappiest name on CB! I can't believe that I gave up my 160 posts though. I worked so hard for that kind of seniority;) Yeah, I can't believe that somebody wouldn't like airtime. That is what that coaster was built for :D

It's just too bad that B:DK couldn't be placed in the DC Comics area. It seemed logical but not logistical. Lines will still be long at any rate.

well, SFNE Freak, as you may have noticed...I'm not really much of one for "normal" punctuation...and, it seems that when you have THE #1 rated coaster in the world as your screen name, why change....plus, you've now acquired a "stalker" of sorts...had one myself - see gatorwoodie2 for details...BTW, just in case, NO OFFENSE is intended toward anyone living or dead, and any resemblance between comedy and my posts is purely coincidental...no animals were harmed in the typing of this post....

Finally, I think it's likely SFNE will try to capitalize on this "acclaim" and advertise S:RoS...so that would "tend" to offset the decrease in lines...pardon the "tend" but hey, my degree's in economics...
