This is a pretty well written description of what it is, for those who do not know what Wiki is:
"Wiki is a piece of server software that allows users to freely create and edit Web page content using any Web browser. Wiki supports hyperlinks and has a simple text syntax for creating new pages and crosslinks between internal pages on the fly.Wiki is unusual among group communication mechanisms in that it allows the organization of contributions to be edited in addition to the content itself.
Like many simple concepts, "open editing" has some profound and subtle effects on Wiki usage. Allowing everyday users to create and edit any page in a Web site is exciting in that it encourages democratic use of the Web and promotes content composition by nontechnical users."
Anyway, It might be a neat idea for CoasterBuzz, especially considering the nature of the site and it's growth has been directly linked to user contributions.

That's a pretty nerdy thing to notice I guess.

Granted, it's not guaranteed to be posted, but it's still very user-supported.
I know someone started it once, it never got finished...

I'm all for the empowerment of people using the Internet as the great equalizer in media. Heck, it's enabled me to do what I want for a living. That said, it's even harder to figure out what's reputable and what's not on the Internet, because all you need is a blog mention or high search hit to get noticed. What is the most trafficked is not always correct.
