Because I felt like keeping it open.

Jeff - Who at this time exercises the "because I said so" clause with regards to ownership.

I think some SF fanboys are trying to bash Wicked Twister because they sre jealous of Cedar Point because most Six Flags parks get clones like Batman and Deja Vu don't get me wrong I like SF just not the fanboys.

Well said Most Six Flags Parks get clones. Question. Is this or is this not the new best ride in the park?

it will be hard to tell but I am going either May 5 or the next weekend to find out and so far X and SD2K have not changed my opnion of Millennium Force as the best ever but who knows.

The ride isn't better than Millennium Force or even Magnum. In fact, the park said they really want to be careful and deliberate in the way they push the ride. At any other park on the planet, people would be excited about getting an Impulse, but many think of this as "just" an Impulse, a filler.

I suspect they'll continue to shift their focus away from record breakers and start thinking a little more about quality and diversity (and I'm sure we all hope that means a real wood coaster).

I love how the people who are bashin the thing and saying that the back twist sucks because probably 80% of the people sayin it have never experienced it-----------------

Who in this post said that the back twist on WT sucks? I cant find anything here where anyone states that. As for what I said, it wasnt a gester that the SF impulses are going to be better then WT. I just stated that people will have different opinions of the two. I personally enjoy the holding brake on V2 and if I ever make it on WT and I find the experience better, then so be it. However no matter what I think of WT after I ride it is not going to make me enjoy V2 any less.

Im going to grab a cold one! WHAT? Walk to my computer! WHAT? Turn the thing on! WHAT? Log on to Coasterbuzz! WHAT? I said log on to Coasterbuzz!! WHAT?WHAT?WHAT?

I love the brake on the top of V2 rides. I want to ride Wicked Twister to see what the back spike is like.

Life is a roller coaster Ride It!

The question I have is will Wicked Twister brake down as much as V2 Vertical Velocity does? Will it have the same problems?

Well, CP has the best uptime in the buisness so you can be sure that they'll go above and beyond to keep it operating as much as possible!

First, I have to admit that although I have V2 at my home park, and the ride is a blast, that rear twist looks far cooler than the holding brake, and I am chomping at the bit to try it.

My only concern would be that it might prove a bit too disorienting. The front row on V2 makes me a bit dizzy-- I think WT, with its additional spiraling, might prove a bit too intense for some who can even stomach Maggy or MF.

That's a valid concern. The ride has caused more than one cookie to be tossed, that's for sure (employees in particular). I was really stunned in the back seat at how fast you get whipped around that rear spiral. Good times though, but this is not a ride I could marathon.

Haha, if employees were tossing cookies, it was probably due to a long night a Louies! ;) I agree though, it might be a problem and with only one train, it brings things to a screeching halt if they have to clean that one train.

Are you implying in some way Jeff that MS isn't "getting it" for you the way it once might have...;). I know the last time I walked away from the ride exit, I shook my head...sad. I still believe that with a SERIOUS investment of cash, and we're talking probably half the initial cost of the ride (or even more), Mean Streak could become a top-notch woodie...some major re-profiling is needed as the trains navigating the course need to VARY their speed. MS originally was designed to run fast through the entire course, but let's face it, on a coaster with laterals that's just not going to last a long time. Poor design, maybe....could it be fixed, I think so!

Or for the same price, CP could just add another woodie, maybe a top-notch CCI or a Roar clone....(oops, I said a bad word)...... ;) But really, getting another woodie at CP seems a little weird when they already have a traditional (and pretty good) out-n-back, and this MONSTROUS twister on the lakefront.....or all this could be just insane ramblings....

Back on topic, I loved S:UE, I'm sure I'll enjoy WT, but I certainly wouldn't marathon on either....

I enjoyed v2 at sfgam last summer and will be at cp in 2 weeks.....I'll wait till than to make up my mind
One thought, though...

With the twist on both ends, Wicked Twister lets everybody go all the way around.

I wonder why they opted to make both twists go the same direction. The result is that the best seat on the ride is the second from the last row on the right-hand side (that is, the front seat of the back car) where you can see the whole train spiral out from below you or above you. Twisting one of the spikes the other way would give the same experience to the left-hand seat.

The ride also has some rider accommodation issues that didn't seem to be a problem on Superman: Ultimate Escape.

Yes, it's a great ride, but today my arms are sore where the shoulder bar was digging into them. Like most people I underestimated the rear twist, as I think the holding brake makes the ride on S:UE. Well, the rear twist does indeed make up for it.

Jeremy, I love the signature.....fits like a glove.

Time to come clean, kid. You posted here recently about your three visits to Japan. Including the one over 10 years ago where you rode Moonsault Scramble. But, then just a few minutes ago in the "Who are you" you posted that you are 14 years old, plus much more.

I don't care what coasters anyone has ridden, or how many, but I DO care about honesty! After lying in your posts how can we believe you? Many of the people on this board who's opinions are respected have ridden surprisingly few coasters!

So, let's all be honest and not make stuff up, OK?

You're so contagious, you turn ma pages!

It's happened before. People need to realize that no one else cares what you have ridden. All that matters is that you are honest and contribute to the discussion.

This has happened before. Once someone copied my track record coaster for coaster and would add when I would! Now that person contributes well around here and doesn't lie about riding things they haven't.

I_Love_The_Gemini, get the point? Let's contribute and be honest.
