Lake Erie gets violent so quickly due to the fact that it's the shallowest of the Great Lakes.
I don't doubt CP has done their research and engineering for WT, but having lived on the shores of Lake Erie for a majority of my life, I really have to wonder.
Sarcasm? Where? :)

I have seen plenty of coasters that have rust on the tracks.

Sept. 11th 2001, Slayer released God Hates Us All. The song "Disciple" uncannily describes the events of that day, as well as the antrax letters that followed.

If the water did hit the track, do you think the track could possibly start rusting?

I think that Intamin track won't float, though it depends on exactly how thick the tube walls are.
Short exposure to lake water is unlikely to cause any real corrosion issues.
The bull dozer is probably there because that's where the driver stopped.
They even say the lake is coming close. I see the control room pics (reminds me of a hospital). Is that part going to be below the station?

the dozer is there to prevent large waves from crashing into those particular pieces of track. winds can get strong to create large waves that WOULD reach those pieces. with the dozer there, it is acting as a breaker to slow the water down. i'm over here on lake michigan and we get waves that can reach 20 feet up onto the beach. they can and do get large. if the track is sealed, then i would imagine that the track could easily slip into the lake...anyone ever seen an aircraft carrier when it's being towed out to deep water? they ride high with little displacement and they are much heavier than that track per square foot. just my 2 cents worth.
