Wicked Twister: oh yes, the twist makes the ride!

Got five laps on Wicked Twister this morning (and got "night" rides pre-dawn). Make no mistake, that rear twist makes this something entirely new. I underestimated how cool it would be and liked it more every time.

As expected, the back seat is the money seat. With it comes a new slogan that I'll let Shaggy share with you. ;)

How close does Wicked Twister get to the top of the tower on the fastest runs up the spike (2nd)? Does it get within like 2 feet of track left so it almost gives you that weird feeling in the front seat as if the cars will fly right off the track?

It sort of did that for me on Superman at Worlds of Adventure... where there was like only a foot or two of track left.

If it doesnt go full circle, is it still concidered a lap? ;)

Congrats Jeff. I look forward to my first ride Sunday.

Live on the edge and remember the Twist of Fate.

DawgByte, the official drop height is 209 out of the 215' tall track (I'm pretty sure). That's not that much! Although I'm sure Jeff could give better stats.

And congrats Jeff on your first... 5 rides on WT. Can't wait til summer now :)

209 feet not much? Are you on crack?

Jeff, was today Media day?

Live on the edge and remember the Twist of Fate.

Hey Joe. I was just about to ask the same thing?? How does one also usually get to go to a media day?? I am curious. :-)

-----------------
X Looks Awesome! Oh Yea!!

SaxPlayer...

You get invited to media day if a) you are a member of the media, b) well-known by the park PR people, or c) have the right connections

Depending how you define popular websites such as this, Jeff somewhat meets the "media" requirement, and even if he didn't he certainly fits b and c... Lucky son-of-a-gun ;) ;)

Posting, "Me too" like some brain dead AOLer. I ought to to the world a favor, and cap you like old yeller...

Actually it's a little deeper than that because I was part of Cleveland media long before I turned programmer (to make a real living). It was almost a mini-reunion of sorts as I worked with or went to school with seemingly half of the people there.

But then again, running Guide to The Point for five seasons migh have something to do with it (not to mention Cedar Point is a sponsor of CoasterBuzz and a corporate member of CoasterBuzz Club).

Where's the slogan?
Where's Shaggy? :)

Jeff, it looked great from Columbus, where the best we could do was watch in horror on TV at noon! Nice on ride cam, and the CP rep (forget his name) didn't waste any time letting viewers know that this is CP's 15th coaster and another record breaker! Is it June 7th yet? Oh God.......what am I saying? I don't want SRM to be over.......oh Legend baby, you didn't hear me say that did you? Oh please forgive me!

Sorry I wasn't on the boards at all yesterday...looooooong day and I was dead beat by the time I got home.

The slogan for Wicked Twister?

"Get screwed in the rear!"

Lmao... what a nice slogan :):)

I'll be looking forward to getting screwed in the rear in June.

Arrow Guy I'm guessing you're talking about either Bryan Edwards (no, not THAT Mr. Edwards) or Robin Innes.
