why'd you join coasterbuzz?

Why did you join coasterbuzz? Was it to interact with other coaster fanatics? Or maybe because it's just a popular site? I joined because I wanted to interact with you people!!

Because when I was at Guide to the Point and asked questions all I would hear is, "This is a question that should be at Coasterbuzz."

It still makes me made thinking about it

Hey there youngster!

I joined to talk with people who love roller coasters, and to lean things from them about roller coasters! Things like; how are they built? What is their individual histories....that kind of stuff.  Also to find out about great coasters that I should ride!!!

Sadly there are too many people on this board who just want to complain or act like they are smarter or better than other people....please don't be one of those. ;-)

Welcome to Earth dude!

I had been a member over at Guide to the Point when Coasterbuzz first launched. I liked what I had seen of Jeff's work so far and figured I would CB a chance as well. I saw potential in the site from the start and have stuck with it since.

Jeff will love this topic.  Free market research!!!
Because I love roller coasters and CB is the best damn coaster site out there period.

I was a GTTP visitor first then I happened to do a search one day and came up with this site.  I liked it from the moment I saw it.  I didn't even know about the message boards for like several months after I first joined.  I was in it for the news and rumors mainly then a whole new realm opened up once I got interested in the message boards.  I quit going to other sites so frequently after I got the gist of CB.    It was the information on this site and GTTP that made me get off my butt and get to CP and PKI for the first time last year.  It's all been downhill from there.   ;)

I joined because there's so many really knowledgeable people who post here...it's a real fount of information.  It's helped me plan trips, and made me more aware when I go to a park.  Besides, none of my friends or family love coasters or parks as much as me so it's nice to see comments from people that I know think like me and don't think I am crazy.
Just one reason, Jeff has one of the Best Roller Coaster web sites on the net, period. If you want information in a timely manor, you can always count on COASTERBUZZ. Twenty dollars is a small price to pay for all of the information that Jeff gives us. Help support Jeff, just remember, he doesn't have to do this.

Hey, that sounds really familiar.  I think this is the case for a lot of us here. :)

So many websites are:
-full of crap
-outdated
-confusing to navigate
-not very original
-bogged down by ads
-broken

It is refreshing to find a place that is:
-always up to date
-stays on topic
-a "portal" to reliable information
-does a good job weeding out the crap
-easy to nagivate
-ad free :)

There are some very good amusement/carnival/coaster sites out there but most of them specialize in a narrow topic. Very few of the general sites are able to attain and maintain such a high level of quality.

everything's better with a banjo

I originally came here cause of the same reasons as James (ACEerCG), that is, I was a member of GTTP and well more of a general enthusiast than a CP enthusiast, so I was glad that he made a site I figured I'd enjoy more too...

I joined CLUB Coasterbuzz because I felt that this awesome site deserved my support (and ads are annoying too).

Back in the day...

I would have paid five times as much to join this site. If nothing else, it gets me through my boring work day with dreams of Apollo's Chariot, Millenium Force, Montu, etc. It helps me to remember all the great times I've had at parks, and helps me decide where I want to continue those great times in the future.
I joined (yesterday was my 1 yr anniversary) becuase I wanted to know more about this Nitro and Hypersonic everybody was talking about

I joined basically for the same reasons as James and Natalie... I was on Guide to the Point, and heard about CoasterBuzz starting and thought I'd join in. Funny that I've been a member for this long, and still only have something around 15 or so posts!

I was a URCer...got REALLY tired of surfing in to find 3-5 new messages each day.  I am now REFORMED, and am a buzzer (and happily so, I might add)...Occasionally, I'll check in on URC to see if there's any "gatherings" during those times I'm forced to cross the "Mason-Dixon South" - aka, the FL border...LOL!
