Why No Indentation?

Jeff always tells us to spell correctly and use proper English. I just think indentation of new paragraphs would be part of that. Somtimes I try to indent and it just runs all the way to the left. You can't tell where one paragrah ends and another one begins. :(

For one, HTML ignores any extra spaces (a tab is a space) when it renders a page. Second, it is a generally accepted practice to use a double line break to begin a new paragraph in business letters and more and more with online news (like C-Net's www.news.com for example).
