TCKR,
I don't think Sean has a hunch. I think he KNOWS there'll be another giga in the states very soon.

Yes, and to maintain his "tightness" he certainly wouldn't be posting even the slightest hint on a board the park reads if he knew.
Those who know don't talk, those who talk don't know.

Not always true and for some reason I don't think it is in this case. Sean knows what he's talking about. He may be fooling me, but he's doing a good job at it!

Just think about, Sean F. is one of the greatest fans of PKI, wouldnt be too surprised if he didnt know something special. Possibly PKI or at least another Paramount park is getting one
I will go on record right now and say that I don't think any Paramount park will be getting a 300 foot tall coaster next year. Sorry if I led anyone to believe that.

How odd. Then again, considering who you talk to, I am not surprised. LOL!

Of course, I have NO idea what anyone is getting for sure, but I have pretty reliable information about SFWoA and SFGAm...but due to promises, I have to keep that info to myself.

Giga who? Giga what?Interesting Sean, I have the same hunch that we can expect to see another 300 ft. tall coaster in the States before too long.

As for me I have a feeling you and Sean know something that we don't. Are you gonna make everyone go crazy like we did trying to figure out what CP was getting for this year?
I wonder if that cleared out spot in CP will be for a giga. I hope we do see more. It probably is because of height restrictions that keep giga's from being built. If not this than people will probably complain like they did for the stratosphere coaster.
I'm sure we'll see more giga's soon though. It took a while for hypers to take off:
Magnum XL 200- 1989
Steel Phantom- 1991
Pepsi Max Big One- 1994
Desperado- 1994
Fujiyama- 1996
Wild Thing- 1996
The rest have been coming up within the past 5 or 6 years. Take a look: http://www.rcdb.com/result.htm?coastername=&park=&type=&category=&contact=&status=&state=&country=&column=1%2C10%2C3%2C4%2C5%2C9%2C11%2C12%2C13%2C14&order=-11%2C1%2C2

I think that there are probably a few different reasons why this is.
1) Zoning regulations wont allow it.
2) FAA airspace regulations wont allow it.
3) Cost cant be justified.
4) It took several years before anyone other than Cedar Point had a hyper coaster so why would it not take a few years for any park that can justifiably put a giga-coaster in.
Anyone else care to add in there 2 cents feel free.

1. Yes they will if it's in the right location.
2. Yes they will, to 500'.
3. Yes it can, given the right facility.
4. That's the only thing I agree with you on. They raised the bar. It takes time to adapt, develop and catch up.

Totally false. I talked a lot lot about Xcelerator, pretty much new about it a year in advance. Those who assume, are guessing.
