Why new window to CBGames?

I clicked on the Games BETA and it gave me a brand new window. Why? I like it better the old way.

I like how it is now becuase that layout doesn't match this layout so it makes sense to pop it into a new window so you still have the navigation to to navigate the orignal site in the orignal window.
