At first I was excited about X-flight coming to my home park but then I realized how trashy this ride is. It seems like they are trying to do to much with this ride. Who cares if the train reclines on the lift, why don't they take the 2 secs. and recline the train in the station. Is there really a reason why X-Flight is down so much?
Because two of the worst names in the business are associated with it: Vekoma and SFWOA!

Actually, it is a brandnew ride with a VERY complex computer system Every seat has its own personal computer.
But you would think that Vekoma would have figured out the problems when they did Stealth. I would have to agree with Grant

You are the Weakest Link, Goodbye.
X-Flight is basically the prototype. Its light years ahead of stealth. Each train has 12 on board computers w/ probably 5x as many sensors per car for the restriant locks and GAU locks. Plus Vekoma recently redesigned the brushs on the sides of the cars which cause it to recline, raise, lock and unlock through the drag strips and are on site refitting all the trains. Plus we are now running at full power because of a new tranformer. And if you ever get a chance to look in the trialer on the side of the lift you'll see all the computers you dont see. thats all that trialer is computers and asftey sensors.

Why did they name the thing X-Flight anyway? Couldn't they have come up with a better name?

yeah that name kinda sucks, stealth is a much cooler name... however all of the CP people keep raggin' on X-Flight for being down, or SFWOA for it always being down, but I waited an hour and a half for the ride, which is a wait-time at CP that isnt unheard of...Especially for a new coaster.
and yes vekoma does suck, but this is a new promising ride. Their first 'awesome' one!

Is it the ride-ops fault? Just curious.... Please don't go crazy on me.

I have 2 simple answers. 1.Because it's sorta brand new, with the duel station, reclining on the lift and all. 2. X-Flight, if you think about it, fits in great with Rockville. In the 50's there was propoganda and nuclear fear, then ARea 51 type place came up,if you think about it really hard it's pretty cool.
BTW, what type of name is Millennium Force?

I wouldn't care if Millennium Force was called Pretty Pink Princess.

They've actually been doing a pretty good job. It's the uniqueness and mechanics/ Vekoma who messed up.
It's funny that this one's always broken down and the Batwing never is...
I know about 6 other peeps who've gone to SFWoA,and they never mentioned anything about it being down.
What they've told me is this ride rocks,it's the don't miss ride of the year.
If the X-Flight was built in SFH, this coaster will used all trains.
Give em some time, if people weren't so frickin pessimistic maybe these boards wouldn't be full of negative comments...

I love that game! The first one to put on all the jewels win!
Why does X-Flight seem to have so many problems compared to Batwing?! I havn't heard much *****in' about it.

Hmmm. Batwing's cars went into service after X-Flight, so wouldn't that mean Vekoma would have had more time to make the upgrades? I've heard alot about parts being reconfigured or replaced by Vekoma. Maybe the Batwing cars have been completely upgraded, and X-Flight's have not been.

Complain, complain, complain. There are a few of you here who, if I ever heard a positive word from you, I'd faint. Some of you seem to use this board as your own personal whine and cheeze factory. It may be time to re-visit Jeff's mission statement:
