Why is Jokers Jinx Closed ?

I'm wondering why its closed. Are the trains gone ? I heard its been down for 3 weeks. Anyone know the story ?
I was at SFA last night. Although JJ wasn't operating, it appeared that both trains were there. I asked why JJ wasn't running, but no one seemed to know.
I think its getting lap bars.
yep probably getting lap bars
Dang it. . .I'm going to SFA in two weeks, and I was sort of looking forward to riding JJ.

Any chance it'll be up and running in two weeks time, or is it done for the season?

Is Poltergiest open? If it isn't, then it could be a lap bar issue.
If it is getting lap bars then there is NO chance of it being open but if its another reason it will be open.
Sounds like another case of  Disapearing for lapbars.Hey if it gets lapbars im all for it,i think that would help that ride 100%.

As a person who has only experienced FoF, I say that Lapbars are fantastic! During the ride, it does pull you side to side and all around, and I was thinking how bad it would be with the OTSRs.

Thats where I'm confused I rode FOF at PKD with lap bars and it was smooth as glass.
Ya, well, I rode flight of fear at both pki and pkd the last year of the OTRs and it was about as smooth as BROKEN glass!  Bang Bang Bang thats all I can say!  But I loved it this summer!!  ~A
I agree it was horrible with the OTSR.
maybe 300 lb woman cant fit in the train (parlous plunge) cough cough, so they have to add lap bars so up too 400 lb people can fit in the trains
It's Perilous Plunge, not Parlous Plunge...
Actually it runs real crappy in cold weather so I assume rather than fight it, they close it for the season.........

Sam, you are probably correct; but we can always hope for the new lap bars plus whatever else they did to the Robin trains.
Yup! The Poltergiest at SFFT is still open....In fact I rode it earlier today:)
My guess is Sam is right. You see, Joker's Jinx was closed all during Fright Fest last year as well. Back then we all thought something was being done with the trains (remember the whole "stress cracks" in the Mr. Freeze coasters?) But there doesnt appear to be anything different about the trains this year from last.

I'm fairly confident that JJ will be getting lapbars next season. But I dont think that is the reason it is closed now.

You guys are probably right because last Fright Fest season the trains were off the track.
