The answer is simple as to why SFMM has no S&S tower. Just down the freeway you have the worlds largest turbo drop (Supreme Scream) and a space shot (maliboomer). The parks have exclusive rights to the rides within a certain area (hence the reason Supreme Scream is not a 2 turbo drop 2 space shot tower b/c maliboomer is so close).

ACTUALLY, the fact that Knotts is all Turbo Drop is because that is what they wanted, Maliboomer wasn't around yet. So Knotts had total control over the decision.

Incorrect, they are getting a SPRING Shot ride from Funtime Industies. The Spring shot is a redesgin of older sling shot rides but using safer steel cables rather than bungee cords and a spring chamber to launch the pod.
They already had the funtime spring shot didn't they? Someone should notify them about this, because they sure are going around telling their rides employees that they are getting an air pressure launched slingshot with 3 huge vertical towers and you can choose the way in which you want to sit...sure sounds like Vertigo to me.

Uhh...Disney bought Maliboomer in 1995, therefore KBF has supreme scream as we know it now.

If I remember the story correctly, DCA wasn't officially on the drawing boards until after 1995, and Maliboomer a while after that? Also, wasn't Maliboomer added after one of the many MAJOR Budget Cuts and not actually part of the original Concept? No matter what the case, I'm sure if SFMM Management wanted an S&S Tower, of any sort, they would install one, even if it was slightly smaller in size. But I'd rather leave that up to the people who make the decsions and know what they are doing. :)

I'm glad that a parks like SFMM or SFGAd doesn't have a drop ride.Just because a park doesn't have a certain ride type doesn't mean that the Park is lacking. Those two parks have so many other thrilling rides. My question: Why would they need or want a Drop ride? Esepecially, SFMM they have X which is a Drop Ride,Flying Coaster, A Spin and Spew all in one. Save drop rides for parks that are land locked, small parks small budgets, and for fair/carnival midways.Besides, Once you've rode one, more than once the thrill is gone BABY.Wow this Drop ride spins as it ascends, OH MY GOD , this has four towers instead of two.
