Why doesn't Six Flags invest in a CCI Woodie?

But then in that case, where would the GP go to ride the woodies we ride?  Its not like we have some secret park full of CCI and GCI woodies.  I know that my family is definantly the GP.  But, they did find time to visit all the parks in Ohio, 1 in Kentucky, 4 in Missouri and 1 in Iowa.  Now tell me there is not at least 5 good wooden roller coasters in those parks all together.  My point is that no matter where you live, there is always atleast one park around that has a good wooden roller coaster.
woodiegatorroller :)
Actually, while I was typing, I *did* think of that. I pondered that maybe people with HersheyPark as their home or Holiday World or Knoebel's *might* be more inclined to wood. But that is the minority of the GP. If we are generalizing (not necessarily good or bad), then most have ridden some poorly designed/maintained woodies.

Take my sister (PLEASE!...RIP Henny Youngman). She has been on some really good woodies (Cyclops, Zeus, Viper) some *questionable* woodies (Screamin Eagle & Colossus in the 80's, Sonny, American Eagle) and some poor ones (Mean Streak, Hurler). And she BY FAR prefers steels to wood and will tell you so in a minute. Heck, the only woodies I ever remember her saying she *really* liked were Viper and Son of Beast. The rest she was like "whatever".

On the other hand, she cant get enough of Raging Bull, adores Magnum, and Kumba was the only coaster the whole time we were in Florida that she asked *me* to ride again.

With that being said, she was much more down for a trip to SFGAdv's 'Coaster Celebration' than Holiday World's Stark Raven Mad. (yeah, I know, I've GOT to convert her...)

My parents are just the opposite though. But I think that stems from an unrequited quest to relive the days riding the Riverview Bobs.

A Nigerian Muslim sharia court sentences a pregnant woman found guilty of adultery to be stoned to death, but only after she has finished weaning her baby.
This is known in some parts of the Muslim world as compassionate conservatism

The main reason SF doesn't want a CCI is because this ride might actually open *on time* for once.  ;)
You know, it's crazy we're not seeing more woodies, because you can build 3 really nice ones for the average price of  1 big steel coaster.  And all the companies building with steel, could (or have already) build with wood.
I can't believe someone hasn't compared Hurler (Paramount) to Thunder Run (SF)...If you compare the two Thunder Run runs like butter. Who said SF doesn't maintain their woodies?
