Why do you not let some coaster sites up?

Jeff, I have tried to put up TotallySFMM for a looooooooonnnnnng time. Whenever I send it in, you never put it up. DO you hate the site or the webmaster? I'm the co-webmaster there and we need some more hits. C'mon, give us a freckin chance!

Jeff has explained before that sites that have been submitted are evaluated to make sure they're halfway decent -- I haven't seen your site and cannot personally comment on what it does or does not look like, but perhaps you need to check for broken links, broken images, misspellings, etc. I really don't think that a site would be rejected based on a personal bias against a park, coaster, or person, only based on the site itself. Furthermore, it is Jeff's call whether or not a site gets listed here, and it's up to his judgement. There are a lot of poor sites out there (again, not commenting on yours specifically), and it is a good policy to weed out "noise" sites, just as the moderators weed out noise from the forums.

If you want hits, try putting the address into your signature. Then, it's up with every post you make, not just a one-time submission shot.

Anyone who thinks I have enough time to hate anyone or their site has the exact opposite problem I have (way too much time). Anyone can throw up (pun intended) a site on GeoCities in a short period of time. That doesn't mean it has something different or original. You know how many submission we get that say "the best coaster site on the Internet?"

Everyone wants traffic, but the visitors to this site want something that has what they're looking for. For that reason, we don't even try to accommodate every submission, because it lessens the value of our listings overall.

Jeff have you ever thought about adding an "amatuer link" to your page, I don't care about hits, I'm not in this for the money, I do it because I love our little park in the mountians, my pictures are out there for people to look at and enjoy, even if they thought Magic Springs was the worst park they have ever been to. There are hundreds of pictures starting in 1995, and the most current pictures are from a few weeks ago.Plus I have 3 rolls of film yet to be developed. I agree there is alot of pages out there I would not ever go back to again, and others, I visit everyday. http:/communities.msn.com/TomStone
