Why do I only get this problem on this site?

Whenever I click on a new thread or topic it will pop up on the top an error has occurred and then will get a message saying "Problem Report for Safari Web Content." Then under it will say "this report will be sent to Apple automatically." I only get this on Coasterbuzz and no other site.

I'm pretty sure it's not a problem with CoasterBuzz.

I get it, too. It also crashes on my iPad from time to time when I load a topic, or click on the "recent" button. I don't get the error on any other sites, but I assumed it was a problem with Safari.

Same here on my iPad. Thought I was the only one.

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

I get it also, just happened in fact.

It has happened before (in the last week) , but I couldn't link it to just CB, so didn't mention it before.

Mac here, running safari

Wow, I seriously thought it was just me so I was just trying to live with it.

Must be a Safari problem then. Web sites can't really "break" a browser unless the browser itself is broken. They can throw errors for bad code, but what you're experiencing is a browser crash, which is the browser itself failing.

Use Chrome or Firefox. :) Of course, you can't on the iPad, so I'm not sure what the deal is there. Are any of you club members? Wondering if it isn't some crappy Flash problem from an ad.

I'm an ad-free club member, using an iMac, but with Firefox and not Safari. I have not encountered this problem. I have recently been viewing the site with Safari on my iPod too, and I have not encountered any problems. I hope that will be some kind of a help to you all in figuring it out.

I'm a club member, so it shouldn't be the ads. I switched to the mobile site on my ipad, and I'm not having the issue here. Interesting. It does it on both oh my Macs, so I'll try and get a screen shot of the exact error tomorrow, with the expanded details and see what might be causing it.

Use Chrome...

amazing how all of us Mac users seem to have a broken browser, and that only evidence/instanace of same breakage happens on this site.

I would point the finger first at the MacKeeper ad (either the ad, the code, the adserver, whatever). It's the only popup ad I ever get, and that fact that the browser crashes on this site, might be a correlation.

Could be. I use a Mac exclusively (ironic given that the site is developed on the Microsoft stack), but I use Chrome. Chrome is pretty terrible on Windows, because it doesn't do high DPI right, but solid on the Mac.

I've never cared much for Safari, though I've tried it a bunch of times. It always seemed to have slow Javascript support in things like Gmail. I finally got it to produce the error you're talking about, it appears to be a memory problem of some sort. The performance in general is pretty awful, even for the scrolling image on the home page.

My Mac loads it perfectly on Firefox, but It gets rocky sometimes on Safari.

My phone's safari hasn't crashed yet.

My iPad has.

You're not the only one.

Humor is full of risk.

And innovation.

I use an iPad as well and I get knocked off of here frequently. The "recent" button does it a lot, but particularly if I've been to my profile. After that it's hard to reach other pages without getting kicked off. It doesn't seem to happen if I visit PointBuzz where I have to endure ads.

There are two places that are worse, though. One is Facebook- if I try to load comments I usually get knocked off. The other seems to be any newspaper website that I've reached via a link. They are always chock full of ads and banners, and if I try to navigate or scroll down an article before all the ads loaded in I get knocked off for sure.

If Facebook is an issue, Apple has to be aware of it. Did it start to be an issue recently? I seem to recall recent updates to Safari.
