Why couldn't Déjà Vu be 200 feet?

As its a shuttle, its not going to go right to the end of the track anyway, I agree, an extra 5 fett of track could have been easily added, at litlle extra cost, even if  this 5 feet isn't actually used!!

Why would a park pay for the extra 5 feet and have it not being used?  A park might very well want to gain some kind of record, but they know that people like us are going to say "it isn't a REAL record because the cars don't travel that high."  You are right...a shuttle won't travel to the end in any way, but adding height that isn't going to be used is a waste of money and ludicrous to boot.

I was just about to say the same thing. The ride is what it is, nothing more, nothing less. Ride it or don't, who cares if it 195.4 inches or 194.99?

i dont think its the fact if 5ft will make a difference or not, i think its just the fact that the parks are only a measely 5ft away from a world record, whether its held a couple months or not.  look at millennium force for example, that only held its spot for a couple months, so why not just add another 5ft freakin feet to the deja'vu coasters and let us say we have been on a 200ft inverted coaster instead of having to spend thousands of dollars on a trip to europe, geez. i just hate it when people attack other members for asking questions in the forums.
