the layout looks cool too!

Titan Laps :16

It is an exceptional ride.  I have had the pleasure of riding all but one of the floorless coasters, and it might be my favorite.  However, it is too hard to pick one.

Is it as good as Batman Knight Flight ?
I PERSONALLY enjoy Knight Flight more, but I know a lot of people who think Medusa is better.

medusa used to be my favorite my ride until i went on Nitro...but medusa is really fun. Its a must ride for any one. One thing this has that B:KF doesan't have is a zero-g roll. The most amazing inversion ever.

That is a matter of opinion.  I strongly prefer Medusa to BKF.  (Nothing against BKF, I like it a lot!) Out of those who have ridden both, Gregleg might be in the minority with his opinion.  But, hey, to each his own...

They're both really fun - Medusa really put Great Adventure on the map before Nitro came along.  I definitely suggest waiting for the front - on these floorless coasters, its really amazing and worth the extra 10 minute wait...
Actually Medusa west is the best Floorless I have been on. I think it and Kraken are the only ones with a straight drop, as opposed to the curved seen on other floorless types.
I have been on Medusa (SFGADv), Medusa (SFMW), Batman Knight Flight, and Kraken. Medusa at SFGADv is my least favorite of the four. For some reason it seemed dull compared to the other three, I dont know if it was slow or what...maybe it was because of that awesome coaster on the other side of the park...Nitro...that was making it seem worse for me. My fav of the four Ive been on is Kraken, thanks to the snappy dive loop, air-filled heartline, cool block drop, intense loop, and the awesome waterfall filled tunnel/cave/flatspin combo at the end....and yes, i know the 1st drop is a ramp. =)

SFGAm Viper

Trust me if you get a chance ride it! that ride is why Gadv is what it is 2day . It attraced sooooo many people (which is bad somedays)

I have only been on Kraken but I hear that Kraken is better than the Medusa's because of it's zero G-roll and it's cool cave into a corkscrew element.  If you are in the Orlando region, don't miss Sea World, Kraken is awesome and Atlantis is pretty cool too.

Paramount Carowinds: Forgotten but not Gone
It is an awesome ride.  Riding in the front seat for the first time was one my most memorable coaster moments.  It's indescribable, you just have to do it.
I personally like BKF more then Medusa. Medusa seemed slow to me. The only part i really liked about it was the zero~g roll. I like the turns of BKF and speed a lot more then inversion after inversion.

Front Car at night is Extremely Amazing! i think Medusa is the best florless because it has everthing BKF has and its cobra roll is better that the seaserpent from what I hear and Kraken is a little slower that Medusa.

I visited SFGAdv on August 29 for the first time ever.  Naturally I rode Medusa, my first floorless (and wasn't it the first floorless built?)  I think Medusa is a great ride.  Personally, it thrilled me more than Nitro, simply because for me the inversions and the floorless design contribute to more total excitement.  But that's just me, and I will always ride Nitro a lot, too.  Now, if they could replace Medusa's OTSRs with lapbars...

I got to ride Medusa (East) during ACE Spring Conference ERT - NO BRAKES - wow, did we FLY through those interlocked corkscrews...fast!  I didn't like Kraken as much, but then BKF blew me away.  But, as Peabody said - to each his (or her) own... I think what I loved about BKF was the high-G, high-banked turns...

It is great and one of the best coasters I have rode but believe it or not Chiller is a better coaster with lap bars on the Robin side.
How does it compare to Kraken?

Medusa is fantastic.  A masterpiece, really.  The ride is just about as perfect as a looping coaster can get.  It has huge inversions that really make you feel like you are being tossed around.  The layout meanders all over the place.  And the last half of the ride has so many rapid directional changes, they are so smooth and so fast.  While the front seat is definitely the best place to be, the middle seats are good too.  Having a car in front of you somewhat diminshes the "floorless" feeling, but what you are left with is an exceptional B&M looper, and I can't imagine many people complaining about that!

Medusa at SFGADV was my favorite coaster, until I rode BKF at SFWOA. They are BOTH awesome rides!
