Who eats theme park food?

You've gotta eat 5-6 Skyline cheese coneys everytime you hit PKI. Even if i'm only there for an hour, i make atleast one stop at Skyline and then proceed to a spin-n-spew. Talk about endurance!!!;)

I can't resist PKI Potato Works, funnel cakes, and Pizza. I have to eat at all the Florida parks(WDW, BGT, IOA). The food at all the parks are incredible. The burgers are fantastic! Seriously! :)

2Hostyl - great points. If I were to be close enough to a park to have a meaningful season pass and was only there for a break or a short time, no, I wouldn't eat there much at all. But on a trip, I figure you might as well experience it all, since you've paid for the admission I'd rather not leave and lose however much time in the park. With a season pass it would be very different: you can come back much more cost effectively.

"Personally, I would love to, but most of it is junk food, and grossly over priced.

I usually leave the park at lunchtime, and go somewhere else nearby. Either that, or take my own food.

Well it's kind of hard not to eat theme park food, unless you want to be hungry the whole day.

Think of that corn dog as a down payment on a coaster!!

Depending on how strict a park is, you can bring your own food in a cooler. Although it's not as convenient, it cheeper and sometimes healthier.

Actually what I do sometimes at CP is leave during peak hours and dine at some of the fine eating establishments in the Sandusky area. We avoid the biggest lines and spend a good hour relaxing and getting ready for the second half of the day.

That fact that most park food is overpriced may be a blessing in disguise. It would be all too tempting to eat more of it if it were cheap. Those cheese fries may be a downpayment on a coaster but the high price sure makes my arteries happy.
At Cedar Point, I love the fries with vinegar near the front midway. I can't seem to get the same great vinegar/fries combination anywhere else. I also love the Elephant Ears from Frontier Land.

I usually leave CP for lunch, but I'm going to have to give Johnny Rockers a try this year.

If I'da thought about it a little longer, I'da spent more time thinking.
Vinegar on fries at CP seemed so repulsively fascinating that I had to try it. Wasn't TOO bad, but sure seemed weird to a southerner like myself.

My home park's a Six Flags. There nothing particularly good about the food anywhere in Astroworld, though there's a few places where it's edible. Plus leaving the park for lunch requires paying for parking again, since there's no passes here.

However, the new Eddie Dean's BBQ stand at Six Flags Over Texas is really good and reasonably priced.
