I would say go to SFGAdv, SFA, and maybe Dorney.

Not a bad route... SFA to Dorney is about a three hour drive and Dorney to SFGAdv is about an hour and 45 mins. A total driving distance time of 4 hours and 45 mins. By comparison, SFGAdv to SFNE is a total driving distance of 5 hours (SFA straight to SFGAdv is a little over 3 hours).

In my opinion, it's all what you're going for, if you're going for the coasters, go for SFA/SFGAdv... if you're going for the quality of the parks and don't care so much about the coasters, go for SFFT/SFOT.

If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.

I guess there is no point in to going to SFstL due to the fact SFoT has all that. So I say I'm going to head east Monday. I do like the idea of going to Dorney though. :)

I've been to SFoG twice and no Deja Vu but I got lucky to ride it at SFGAm. Thanks for the imput. I'll cross my fingers I'll have some cash to go to Coaster Con this year and I don't work. This could be an awesome two weeks!!!

Any day at most Six Flags is still better than a day at work spent in teleconferences!

Gonch tells me I should say that even the not-so-good parks are improving. I heard it was true at SFKK from last year's visits, then I experienced it myself in May. Hearing good things about SFMM and SFGAdv, and to a lesser degree even SFNE (which I guess didn't have QUITE as far to go, LOL).

Not hearing much out of SFA at all - IMO, a place with notoriously good coasters and poor mgmt. for quite a long time. Frontier City and SFDL, no longer part of the chain (addition by subtraction).

Overall, it looks like even the "not-the-best" parks have either gotten better or been sold off. If Snyder had gotten here sooner, we might have been able to improve those parks too. ;)

Hey, Gonch, remember...they have to be small denomination, unmarked bills. :)

Don't even try telling me SFNE is Better than SFA after working at both, SFNE might have a better ride selection but SFA runs them way better. SFNE has the worlds slowest attendants.

SFA has actually been running things somewhat well this season from what I've heard as well as experienced....they did beat out all the other parks attendance wise on memorial day so they must've done something right.

Now if they can just get skull mountain open,I'm headed there on saturday so perhaps I'll be in luck this time.

When did you work at SFNE? This year they added single rider lines to all major attractions including of course SROS and all rides run at max capacity.

I live 2:45 mins from gradv and 30 mins from SFNE so there is no way it is a 5hr drive and I have gone to both parks on the same day.

I worked at SFNE end of the year last year. They stacked superman for 5 min a train all night long. They get a different type of guest going there that SFA and SFGAdv don't see.
If you're going to Six Flag America, you might want to consider a jaunt down to Kings Dominion (only about 90 miles away). Heck, why not go to Busch Gardens Europe as well?
;)

that's something you'll want to do AGAIN, even after you have all the credits..

A man of my heart...count another vote for heading south.

...everybody has been nice and left out the Pennsylvania suggestions...but I am hoping you are factoring in gas prices...don't know how many you have in your party.

You say you "love wood." Pennsylvania is the place to be...I said it...go on now!

Or you could go to the Dells...?

Yes I know PA is def. hot spot for me to go to. I usually go to 6 parks a year. I've been to CP, SFKK, IB, HW, and Beech Bend already this year. Going to SFStL tom. :) To save some money I figured I would hit some SF parks this year. Use that pass for once. I just don't have the extra cash right to keep buying admission everywhere. I just don't know anywhere else I can get a season pass for 55 bucks other then SF. SF a value scary stuff. LOL

Fair enough...head south! Of course my NE visit was quite a few years ago...so maybe the rides are worth it up there now...that is always up for interpretation.
Oh don't get the wrong idea monday I'm heading east. I have a friend that i'm trying to coaster convert. *** Edited 6/8/2007 3:48:40 PM UTC by wes jorden***
