which coaster would you re theme

RailsBum, after hearing the STORY behing SoB, I wanted more theming too. The biohazard barrels were cool, as well as the PSV's and the giant crate out front - but I wanted more of the story of SoB to be told in the queue-line, especially considering some of the insane waits I heard of last year. kcies13-SFGAm, I like the idea of paying homage to a prior ride, I'd also go for Second Wave or even Seventh Wave. Six Flags moves rides around when they think the ride has lived out its useful life in terms of drawing customers, SFoG lost a one-of-a-kind coaster to SFMM in Flashback...RIP Z-Force. And Mustang, you sound like you admire PT Barnum...correct?

Nitro needs theming. I agree though that at least we have an exclusive name. (at least for now) Maybe it will get more theming in the future if they ever expand behind it.

I totally agree. I really liked the theming for Top Gun at PGA. I realize some might find it cheesy, but I thought it really worked. In fact, Top Gun might be one of my favorite themed coasters. Hypersonic really did need to be called Top Gun. Especially because it launches...they could have themed the first part of the track like an aircraft carrier, or something, and the queue could have had a whole bunch of "control room" theming. Oh well...

I would do a complete overhaul on Top Gun @ PKI. First, get rid of all those TV's and play the Top Gun theme music. I would get rid of all the Gillette ads throughout the queue. Re-open the themed portion of the queue line. Also I would do some changes to the ride. How about a suspended launched coaster. Now that would be cool. Also make it a dueling coaster so you can get that real dog fighting feeling. Pretty cool don't you think?

The Hurler coasters need to be rethemed. When I was at PKD this year they weren't playing the videos like they did a couple years ago when I went to Carowinds, and the Wayne's World theme is definitely done with. They seem to know that from what seemed to be a diminished attempt to theme at all. It is kind of going to be hidden next year I would think, being that it will be behind H:XLC and Ricochet.

Cedar Point Doesnt do themeing so as for MF themeing, there isn't any, the ride speaks for itself anyway, Cedar point is an AMUSEMENT park not a THEME park nobody ever gets it ugh. Tehy did try to theme Distaster Transport and it was great when they first did it, but now its just a dark Avalanche Run, I think teh only reason they enclosed it anyway was because the track acted like a giant rain gutter whenit rained.

Actually, Medusa does fit in the the mining theme because the story behind the ride is that miners would claim that sometimes they would see 'Medusa' in the mining caves. Its more complex than that, but it does sound kinda cheesy to me. Oh well, the theming isn't everything.

I agree NitroExplodes. Nitro is officially part of Movie Town. And Congo Rapids is officially part of Looney Tunes Seaport. Does it make sense? Absolutely not! At least it's a great coaster!!

Now that ride could use some help.
In my opinion, just get rid of the theming or come up with something more acceptable.
Space Pirates....Alaska...Transport....

I'll add to the SOB's theme needs. I hate the station. The SOB needs wood on the station, not metal. And they need to drop some tunnels on that puppy. I don't know how they'd put a very good backwoods theme on it (like it should have) since it's in the Action Zone, but then I wish they would have built it near dad in Rivertown anyway which would have made it so much better. And the crate next to the entrance is good, but the sign for the entrance looks like something someone cut and painted in an hour. You'd think with how much they spent to make the thing, they could have atleast given the line and station a little thought.
