Which Coaster Needs New Trains Badly?!

I'd have to say Vortex at PKI. I think it could use at least SOME pading.

Where have you been PkI FaNaTiC...SOB needs new trains the most at PKI and as much as any coaster at any park...Vortex trains are a godsend compared to Son of Beast's trains...they are just miserable and bruising for the riders.

Big Dipper-WoA

There is only one answer to this question...The Great American Revolution at Magic Mountain.  For God's sake please rid that ride of the shoulder restraints.  It would easily be one of my favorite rides.  Oh and it could do without the 15 trim brakes spead the length of the track.
hercules and thunderhawk at dorney. either that or they need to dismantle and rebuild.

raptor and talon rock!

I would have to say Shockwave at SFGRAM. Those trains bang your head badly!

I'll have to add Chang as well, the roughest of all B&Ms.  Medusafanatic is right on about soft padding vs. hard plastic, but I think RT at SFGAdv needs retracking at the end of the rough ride even worse than new trains, if that's possible.

...Someone said that they do have a seat belt "extender" available, but in a visit to HP no one on the Wildcat crew seemed to know anything about that...

The seatbelt extenders on Wildcat were new for 2001.  We got an overwhelming number of complaints about guests who could get the lap bar down, but could not get the seat belt to buckle (I definitely agree that those seatbelts were waaay too short).  Usually, the attendent and dispatcher on 'cat carry an extender in the back pocket ( I know I do).  It seems odd that they would claim that they "didn't know about them".

(By the way -- this is GandC I recently switched names)

Just for the sake of confort, Magnum. Getting in the last two rows of any car with a 5'11 188 lb. frame is, well difficult.

I think Mean Streak's problem could be solved with new trains. Its trimmed so hard so the trains don't tear apart the structure so maybe lighter trains with people included could help make it a more exciting ride...?

Well Mr. Freeze at SFOT train didn't look bad to me but the OTSR's looked a little ragged out! I am wondering if they will change them- or the whole train!

TITAN FANATIC!!

Please Remember 3!!
Remember the legend 1951-2001!!

IronWolf needs new trains, with a new kind of restraint system. It hurts if you are between the heights that the restraint is at. To high and you are sitting on nothing (that hurts, a lot). To low and you are half crouching and it hurts after trying to support yourself in that positon.

All IronWolf needs is a lapbar like Raging Bull and some nicely padded shoulder restraints. With the shoulder restraint that basicly eliminates the chance of you flying arround.. and people arn't going to try to get out of the darn thing. I don't like the idea of having extra stuff just because people are stupid and do stupid things sometimes. Put up a sign saying what you can't do and give me something comphy to ride in.

Shivering Timbers! They need the same trains Villian has..
When I went to SF:WoA recently, I was about to get on the Serial Thriller and the train in the 2nd to last row's OTS harness had a big chunk out of it. I wasn't going in that row......

If Mean streak can get lighter trains to get rid of the trims, I'm all for it!

Also...Magum needs new restraints most so they don't fall on people during loading/unloading.

Batman: The Escape definately needs new trains!!!

Space Mountain at DL

the sound system never works right

Can we take up a collection for a new (additional) train for Legend at HW - it makes little or no difference except at SRM...by the way, SRM 2002 has been ANNOUNCED!

Millennium Flyer Trains need to have modified lap bars, and that would make them perfect trains.

While it doesn't pertain to the topic of the post, I have to say that I completely agree with that.  If the lap bars locked into position once lowered, or modified with stiffer springs to prevent them from stapling the rider during the ride, those trains would be perfect.  They are gorgeous, and they can snake around just about any corner, no matter how tight or banked.

Don't forget about the old Arrow loopers.  I know they won't get softer cushions or lapbars, but they need them.
