I liked Backstreet Boys when they were underground.
Medusa WEST was quited down so it would interfear or distract from Cobra's course. Six Flags didn't feel to comfortable building a family coaster out in the open between three monsters so they did what the could to block out the sound from Kong and Medusa and also made Cobra loud. That music on the midway sounds like suround musci but it is just Cobra's station house. They also slowed down and set a minimal timing between dispatches on Roar! so you wouldn't hear two trains roaring over the tracks at once. I think that they should have just built a wild mouse in the back of the park, but then again there was nothing really for familys in the front of the park before Cobra.
Pyrenees doesn't roar because something about not distracting as much from the rest of the adventures in the park. The mystical music they play now seems louder than the coaster will ever go. Then you have Gambit, GOOD LORD, what were they trying to create? You would think there was a boom box inside the trains to make the sound go louder. Gambit is also the only B&m I've seen that keeps the sound after the trains flyby, I sware there is some sort of amplifier or sounding system somewhere around the coaster, because B&Ms just don't do that.
Also, have you heard Cobra at La Ronde? The coasters makes the biggest sound when coming of the lifthill. It's like the trains are lifted up off the lift hil and dropped on to the turn.

Nitro does roar, but mildly.
Medusa east, Incredible Hulk, Kumba, Montu, B:tr, Alpengeist, and Apollos Chariot all roar.
Kraken and Talon do not.

How much more floorless can they get?
Okay, I'm wrong, Nitro, Kraken and Talon roar mildly. Wait a minute, if a roar is mild, is it a roar?

Im going to grab a cold one! WHAT? Walk to my computer! WHAT? Turn the thing on! WHAT? Log on to Coasterbuzz! WHAT? I said log on to Coasterbuzz!! WHAT?WHAT?WHAT?
Uh, Vertigo, Cobra @ La Ronde is not B&M, it's an Intamin/Giovanola.
As whoever said, all 3 of SFGAm's are loud, but Raging Bull (when standing under it, in Viper's line) is more notably a 'sizzling' coaster than roaring. I just love the sound of those wheels burning away :)

Less than 2 weeks until SFGAm opens!
Nemesis at alton towers has a great roar. And as you are so close to it all the time when queing, you get to hear it at its best.
What a great sound. It whets the appetite for whats to come.
Yeah, loudest coaster ever = S:TE. I've heard jet planes take off at close proximity, and S:TE is right up there. Oh yeah, and SOB was awfully loud when it first opened, lol. Those were some great times.
As for B&M's, yeah, Kumba wins. Probably my favorite "roar" of the bunch. I recognize the need for the softer B&M's, but the roar is still nice everyonce in a while.

If the shoe fits, find another one.

What's YOUR favorite Intamin?
The two places I remember best for the Raptor Roar is walking down the midway and it going down the first drop and while standing in line and it going through the helix.
I will never forget it!

What's YOUR favorite Intamin?

I'm curious, does Superman:Ultimate Flight have the B&M roar?-----------------
What's YOUR favorite Intamin?
Yes, it does. I love it too. Lol.
Also, I have to agree with an earlier post that Hulk does sound like a swarm of Bees. I love the sound it makes. Its an original B&M roar!

B&Ms aren't the only rides being mentioned in this thread, and I know that Cobra is an Intiman, I never said it was a B&M. Both tracks came from Giovanola, so it doesn't matter anyway.
