Which beemers roar? Which don't

I have heard some B&M's are very quiet now because sand is added. Which coasters do/don't war? All I know is that Kumba roars, kraken doesn't.

I know Talon had sand added because of the close proximity of residential areas.

I can't think of a good signature.

All three at SFoG: Batman, Scorcher, and Superman have the roar. It has something to do with the noise oridnances of the nearby neighborhoods. Luckily, there aren't any neighborhoods next to SFoG.

TG:TJC sure seems to have sand in it, it has a very distinct sound, it sort of screams almost like a jet engine. Very interesting.

Top Gun at Carowinds does have a jet engine sound to it, but it is loud so I don't think there is sand in it. It just has this jet like roar to it...

Great White at SeaWorld San Antonio and Superman Krypton Coaster At SFFT both do.

02 parks: SFFT, SWSA, VL, and SFOG!

Nitro doesn't roar.

Nitro does roar, but mildly.

Medusa east, Incredible Hulk, Kumba, Montu, B:tr, Alpengeist, and Apollos Chariot all roar.

Kraken and Talon do not.

How much more floorless can they get?

Medusa West sort of sounds like air is coming out from under it, but it's just the sand in the rails. Top Gun at PGA is LOUD! But I think it's supposed to be like that because it's themed to a Tom Cat jet. Vortex is also loud. That's because it's the second B&M.

We nicknamed the queue under Talon "the library"...shhhh! "The roar of the Kumba" is sort of a catchphrase since it is one of the loudest Beemers. I also think Hulk sounds like an angry swarm of bees. In addition to the whole neighborhood thing, and the sand/gravel in the supports, I think you have to consider the surroundings. Water tends to make sound travel, like when you're near a lake (BKF, PGA's Top Gun, Hulk), trees tend to quiet the noise (Nitro, Grizzlys, Beast)....

But nothing, anywhere, is near as LOUD as that walkway under S:TE...I guess I have pretty sensitive hearing, but I won't make that mistake again.

BKF is one of the weirdest sounding coasters i have heard. the only sounded eminating from it seems to be from the acceleration of the train

Nitro has a soft roar but that only cause it goes about 7mph when it's closet to us. I bet if you go WAY back were the rest of the coaster is, It would be pretty loud. There would e no sense in making it quite since it's next to just a river. And I remeber hearing it at the bottom of the drop when i'm standing on line; which is no less then 50-60 feet away.

Medusa's roar is loud but it's not loud to a point were it's annoying. Most of the time I can't stand wait in line for Baman cause it a pain in the ear. But then who wouldn't love to hear that as an alarm clock when at home.

The Riddler's Revenge at Six Flags Magic Mountain, my favorite sounding coaster. I love the roar that comes off this baby. Batman: The Ride also roars quite loudly. Medusa at Six Flags Marine World doesn't roar, it was filled with sand for the neighbors.

incredible hulk is REALLY load....yet dueling dragons is fairly quiet.

Hehe ... One would expect Kumba to roar ... Isnt Kumba swahili or zulu for 'Roar!'

Hulk roar on purpose ... a combination of rail filling and wheels. DD doesnt on purpose (to similate free flight)

I dont know what other BMs roar but I know most ROCK!
