Where would you go if you wanted Airtime?

Good one.
Ah. CoasterDiscern, you aren't really here to discern us. Take your little fued with Sirchubs into private messaging. We're just trying to have some fun. People like you take the forum way too seriously. And this is actually a good post made by Sirchubs that isn't lock-worthy.

And I am 17, as an answer to your pointless question.

Parks in Australia would require tons of Airtime to get to from the States. By sea it would require even more *float* if you wanted to get there that way. ;) *** Edited 7/26/2006 3:37:32 PM UTC by boblogone***
Cedar point, because its my favorite park.

SFoGswim said:How about Goliath @ SFoG, which has more airtime than both of them combined?

Ordinarily, I'd compare the screen name to the post, and say "homer"....but not this time. Goliath has more FORCEFUL air than all THREE of the other B&M "hypers", combined...why weren't parks asking B&M to do THAT before? Saaahhhh---weeeeeeet! :)

I remember when I first found Coasterbuzz.... That was quite a while ago... anyway, I think my "first" thread topic was a "Why did they rename Banshee to Mantis" question. I was a little niave then, and didn't understand the "search" feature.

And for the topic, my answer would probally be Americana/LeSourdsville. (I hope that coaster gets running again)

Why hasn't the search feature been fixed? Is it really that difficult for someone to get it working again?

And by the way, I'd go to SFNE for Supes.

I survived a Japanese typhoon and the Togo flat ride of death!!!!!!
Well, for those wondering, Sirchubs has only posted once in the last two months, and that was about Tony Hawk's Top Spin, which we know is old news.

I found my research on the information above was more interesting than the actual topic.....

Happy New Year Cbuzzers!

Fever I really enjoy the Simpsons. It's just a shame that I am starting to LOOK like Homer.
I think this is a great topic for the off season and agree many here take this forum WAY too seriously.

Anyway, it's a toss up for me between SFNE for RoS and SFGA for ET. Given SFGA also has Nitro, Medusa, and KK, that would be my first choice, though that might change with Maverick. I love CP and wish they had a smooth killer ejector air machine (sorry Maggie, you got great air but not like RoS or ET imo).

Best airtime hands down its YOUTUBE !!!!!! ^I totally agree. *** Edited 12/31/2006 7:05:56 PM UTC by Ajrides***
While not a wood fan, I agree with Thunder Run, but it is a little rough. I really liked the airtime on Shivering Timbers. Steel wise, Millenium Force give some air, but not as much as the woodies I mentioned.

That, and there's no point for it. I feel Google can search this site far better than any single person could write some search code:

Also, Silverwood DOES have two of the finest woodies going, they're up to *something* next year, and now they've got Hammersely on staff, so Robo has a point about the Silverwoodies being EVEN BETTER....scary! :)

I vouch for that! The big H guy has already started working on both Silverwoodies for last year's season and it showed. In previous years I could not ride Tremors in the back due to it's roughness and getting headaches. Last year I was able to ride in the back and enjoyed it. However, the main star last summer (IMO) was Timber Terror. The swooping turnaround was smooth and not jerky like it has been in previous years. And the air was full of butt slammin motion. We spent an entire hour riding in the back during ERT for our regional ACE event. That coaster and Raven are the best air time machines!

Along with that, I've also heard that Phoenix at Knoebels is another high marking air time coaster. Though I've never been there yet, it sounds like it's equivalent to our beloved Timber Terror.

So, Silverwood, Holiday World (Raven, Legend), and Knoebels are good parks to get plenty of air on coasters.

Phoenix is a more compact version of TT, Lisa, more turns....but severe airtime, oh yeah... :)

On the subject of double out-n-backs, DBH today was performing at a VERY high level... ;)

Always begin and end the coaster year on high notes...LOL!

For the time thats availableto me for amusement park trips each year I always go to SFDL for SUP. I love that ride, I really do! I sit in the backseat almost everytime for the simple pleasure of backseat airtime on the first drop. Oh and the second and little third one to.

Now the only other hyper I have been on is millie. Oviously millie has a first drop that cannot be beat, however, IMO SMRS has a better course. After the second hill on mille lets just say the ride lacks punch. SUP has some fun little air popping hills with a horrible second helix. When I want airtime, I go to SUP because that is all I can afford to do, and the only place that is not that far for airtime. It really sucks.

Ask not what you can do for a coaster, but what a coaster can do for you.
Goliath at SFOG is great, I had one good ride on Judge Roy Scream at SFOT and went back and it seemed kind of lame. Superman Ride of Steel at SFA, the only one I rode was great. V2 at SFMW going backwards if you sit the back you get amazing airtime. Also any of the S&S Power Towers(not sure if they make it) the Launch tower at Universal is great but scary because the restraints dont seem to work very well so when you hit the top you go flying. All the Cedar Point ones that were mentioned are great. Superman The Escape is the most disappionting one for airtime.

I think this was a great bulliten.
