Where will Troinka and Chaos be relocated??????

What part of the park could use or need a couple of flats???

I hope CP leaves them in the original area. But if not that's cool too. I like to see Troika relocated next to WW personaly.

X is UP and it's RUNNING

Rumors has it that they will be moving both rides down by Wicked Twister and getting rid of Kiddie Kingdom, but personally I believe just Troika Troika Troika will go there, and Chaos will go to the back of the park.

Cedar Point 2003, and it begins...

I'm all for building up the area around WT. I think one of them would look good over there, Troika being my choice. I also wouldn't mind seeing something added over by meanstreak so that it isn't so alone on the other side of the tracks. But then again I'm also for putting something inside of Meanstreak, now there is a little bit of space that never gets talked about that is just waisted. Me thinks it's a great place for a mouse. Do the lines ever get that big anymore?

Yeah, that area inside Mean Streak would a very cool place for a ride.

I think you can safely guess at least one of the rides will end up near WT - seems like a continuing effort to pull crowds in that area. A flat ride way in the back of the park would be a good idea too.

Its Mean Streak so of course not. There were 2 other people in the station when I went in July in the middle of the day. I say they just take MS down instead of wasting so much money on it. Its a piece of crap. I know some of you like it but it needs to go. Its making the park lose money and the GP doesn't like it either. I know that the GP isn't the smartest when in comes to coasters but they are smart enough to make a 1/2 wait for Blue Streak and a walk on with mean streak. If you prefer steel then put it this way:

Gemini 1978 125 feet, no inversions, dueling, Arrow.

Mantis 1996 140 feet, 4 inversions, standup, B&M

Which one do they clap for EVERY TIME?!?!?

Gemini!!

Some of CP's coasters need to go. And its not the old ones but some of the newer ones like Mantis and Mean Streak. They would probably never get rid of Mantis but MS is a possibility.

-----------------
Its not attention deficit. I'm just ignoring you.

Actually, the Mean Streak infield is now the maintenance quiver; as of yesterday the building constructed in there last year was surrounded by a couple of Snake River Falls boats, a pair of Gemini trains, and several White Water Landing boats. It was Scott "ShiveringTim" Short who dubbed the space "the Quiver"; I'll let you folks puzzle out why. :)

An electrician was working on Chaos yesterday, he was saying that the leading rumor is that Chaos will be reinstalled where Schwabinchen is now. Both Chaos and Troika were carefully dismantled (except for their non-compliant fencing, which was chopped out with torches) and are now sitting in the Gemini parking lot. Expect both to return next season.

Cause of all the Arrow products....too easy, Dave....
I never get it, everyone hates Mantis. Honestly I find nothing wrong with this ride, I love it really. Now MS is bad unless they run it without the trims which rarely happens. So I agree about MS but dont touch Mantis

The cleveland browns suck, if its brown flush it down, Go Bengals!

I have no clue where they are scheduled to go, but I think the area by WT would be good, but not as good as the area over by Wildcat, MF, Iron Dragon, and Mantis. There is nothing over there that isn't a coaster, so I think a flat or two in that area would be nice for the people who are waiting while their party rides the coasters.

I find nothing right with it, except for how it looks. It looks awesome. But I hate the ride, it's painful, it's nothing but positive G's, it hurts my legs, hurts my crotch, hurts my shoulders and ears, and the capacity is really poor. I've vowed never to ride it again. Ever.

I'd like to see them take out both of them and put in better versions of each: a nice woodie with some speed and AIR, and a stand-up that didn't hurt like hell (or maybe just make a floorless sit down instead, and nuke the whole stand-up concept).

Back on topic, isn't there room next to Gemini for a flat? They have Witches Wheel and the Monster there... seems like they could easily fit one or two more flats there of comparable size.

What would happen to Schwabinchen then?

You want to know what Millenium Force is on a scale from 1-10? Oh, that's easy. A bajillion out of ten.

That's still up in the air. However, there seems to be some opposition to reopening the ride for 2003 in a new location from the powers that be. If you really love the Schwabinchen, and if you really dig the voluptuous breasts, I would recomend writing letters, starting love thread, and just overall showing your love for the ride. I think public outcry may be the only way to secure her position back at the point next summer.

Unfortunately for you, it's not a Six Flags ride otherwise an annoucement of "her" removal would turn out in your favor!

I don't care for the ride much... but I almost feel dirty for looking at her boobs. And don't get it wrong... just because I work at Six Flags doesn't mean I cut off all contacts with my northern neighboors; I love Cedar Point just as much as I do Worlds Of Adventure.

First of all, I think that we should divert the topic back to the actual ride, not the woman getting dizzy in the center.

Second of all, I wouldn't really miss Schwabinchen all that much. Chaos is a lot better and that would be cool having the ride spinning that close to the wall and watching the people puking out their hot-dogs-on-a-stick onto the Oceana Midway.

This needed to be quoted, just to show that despite popular beliefs, it IS possible to love both parks!

Thank You for challenging TOS: The Ride. We hope you enjoy the rest of your day, here at Coasterbuzz.

While I agree with the idea of a major re-haul for Mean Streak, I don't that it should be removed entirely. As for Mantis, I have had nothing but good rides on it, and I think that it just depends on when and where you ride it. Mantis is a great, intense ride, and I think that once it is painted, it will be even better than what it is now.

When are they painting it and how would that make it a better ride?

They are painting it for next season. ( As far as I know ) Since Vortex at Paramount's Kings Island was re-painted, it has been a lot smoother than it was before. I think that if Mantis is re-painted, the track will be worked on a little, to take out any bumps or dings, and it will be smoother. Jeff may be able to confirm it is being painted.
