When do you think Kingda Ka will reopen again??

hey people, i just wanna ask, when do you think Kingda Ka will reopen again?
next year.
i hope it does open b4 that, i want to go this summer.
I wonder if the train has been removed from the end of the launch? Geez, I wish they would keep us updated on what's going on!
I believe that the train has been removed from the end of the launch track. Im not sure where it went, but I have seen pictures with it removed.

I like disco.
I think Kingda Krap won't reopen for at least 2 year than it will break down about 5 minutes after it reopen! :-D hahahaha LMAO!! :-)

It is a FACT that The Voyage is the greatest thing on the planet!!
Well, at least you made one person laugh.

It will open eventually. Until then, there are quite a few other coasters at the park.

Wait, Tekno...you mean SFGAdv has other coasters to enjoy? When did that happen? ;)
Oh, my bad. you are right. Neither Cedar Point nor SFGAdv have anything other than extreme launched rockets.

Me so sorry.

Sometime before October.

It will open sometime between now and the end of the world. If it doesn't, it won't really matter that much will it?

John
good question. If it doesnt reopen until next year, it will be interesting to see which coaster the park will promote next year, with the new woodie coming.

ive never been to this park, mainly b/c the only coaster worth noting was nitro--how are the other coasters at SFGAdv?

IMHO Great Adventure has an awesome lineup! I guess to some people I guess the other 10 (or 11 depending on how you count The Chiller) coasters in the park are non-existent, along with the oddles of flats throughout the park.

Oh yeah... when they are operating ;)

~Rob "Who once made a 10 hour trek to Great Adventure, only to find three rides open; Nitro, Medusa, and the Giant Wheel. Left the park at noon to drive another 5 hours to enjoy Paramount's high quality PKD" Willi

Even before KK, SFGadv already has a decent coaster lineup. Medusa, B:TR, B:TC, S:UF, GASM and Nitro are absolutely nothing to sneeze at.

You won't see me coming...

I think it will open much sooner than everybody thinks it will.

And it seems the Batman side of chiller will FINALLY be ready soon. That leaves 1 ride (besides Kingda Ka of course) not operating and I don't really blame them for not running Chaos right now.

Also, the blue train is no longer onsite. Unfortunately, its tough to see in this picture but here is a shot of it leaving on a flatbed.

They have been trying really hard in recent weeks to meet customer expectations with Ka being down. Operations are finally getting back to a recpectable level as well (ie. RT racing again :) )

edit: okay, after re-reading that I realize how pathetic this post seems because it makes me come across as a fanboy but what can I say other than, I am one :) *** Edited 7/1/2005 1:20:44 PM UTC by RTneedsTLC***

Rolling Thunder racing again? What's next? Mr. Hyde's Nasty Fall at Geauga Lake actually operating? Oh wait...

The way some people talk, it makes me wonder if anybody bothered visiting amusement parks 10 years ago. Apparently, there weren't any coasters worth riding back then.

RTneedsTLC, you are not a fanboy. A fanboy is one who spews hate filled venom. I'm just feelin' your love for SFGAdv!
Basically, the train was removed from the end of the launch track weeks ago (only days after the incident), and there is still no word on when they will have the ride working again.

When it's fixed.

And if the park and manufacturer are arguing who's fault it is, or if the state of NJ has to recertify the ride it could be down for quite a while.
