Whats up with MF lately?

Well, I am going to CP on monday for my first time since '96. Lately, I've been hearing about MF's valley and the one train usage. Does anybody have an update? Did they finally put the yellow train on?

Seeing as this is my first time on it, I am hoping for a good ride and not too much of a wait (my hp is sfgadv, so i'm used to waits).

How much more floorless can they get?

Millennium Force is having a bad start this year, and while I haven't been to the park yet, I've heard that MF's computer is giving operators a lot of crap. Also, the old station music is no longer playing, and that's too bad, as it really added a lot to the ride. But knowing what I know, I wouldn't be surprised at all to find out that the reason the auto-spiel is not working has to do with the computer problems previously mentioned.

Thats a real shame they aren't playing the station music anymore. All those holograms and the techno beat with the lady speaking really set the tone. I can't believe CP stopped playing it. The little things like the music, holograms, and friendly ops are what makes CP so much better than a similar park such as SFMM.

...that's why it makes sense that it wasn't a choice, but rather the new recording was in response to the original recording not working.

Two trains have been used pretty consistently one day the blue train was giving a lot of problems but thats it. Yellow is there and on the tracks but hasn't been used yet. They were working on the wheels of it yesterday. Didn't open until about 12 but when it did open it was running a lot better then opening day. Except for 20 minutes when the catch car wouldnt catch. At the end of the day it was running just as fast as ever. I think they are getting the problems worked out but alas no station music. BTW Riding in the very back seat has made this coaster my Number one, bye bye beast and Maggie. The floater air last for so long you never think you are gonna come down, Unreal.

I think it's only run one train once this season. That was the first full day after the roolback or around there. I think blue and red have been running other than that. I'd suspect that they'd be making a serious effort to have yellow ready for the weekend. We'll see though...

I took down my MF calander and threw the tally counter in some dark corner. I am thinking if I get mad at Millie she will feel hurt and respond.

Next time you're at SFMM, I suggest you check out Riddler's Revenge. The station music is great, and they have some nice lights in there as well.

Well, thank the lawyers for having the spiel in the MF station changed. All that useful info about G-Forces had to be included as recommended by Intamin following the Perilous Plunge incident. What I don't understand is why they couldn't have the music and a new spiel. The new spiel is even less audible that the old one and the guy has the William Shatner disease or something. He either pauses in wierd spots or just completely runs the sentences together - I couldn't figure out which.

I really believe there's way too much being read into this "bad start" thing. They've added a new ride that has run pretty much with out a hitch; Blue Streak has been tweaked to it's best condition in years. And the wheather has pretty much sucked. The season is what - 10 days old? By the time they really need full capacity, they'll have it.

It was just stuck on te lifthill for about 40 mins. I posted a topic about it but when it got going again I deleted it. Anyway seems like it's been having more then it's fair share of problems.

Yellow hasn't been used, but it has been tested with water dummies. I believe that is the reason MF opened late on Thursday. It did go down later in the day, but only for 15-20 minutes. Personally, I think CP is taking advantage of the low early morning weekday crowds to try to get yellow back on the track.

I've been watching the webcam for about 20 minutes now, and no MF action. It has probably closed, but I can't be sure.

Yes, MF was closed from about 10:30 until 2:30 today. After that it was running 2 trains all day, but the line was still moving pretty slow.

I'm starting to think they let Don Dick (a maintenance silver tag) mess around with MF over the winter! :) Just for some background info - he blames the crew for everything. For example: a train randomly stopping one third of the way up the Magnum lift is blamed on a block set up. Yea right buddy! You're not fooling me! ;)

I was at CP on friday from 9:30 - 1:45 and when I went on MF at about 10:00 I has the best ride I have ever had on MF.

Who knows...
