Whats next from B&M in the US?

When you look at the history of B&M and the popular coasters in their arsenal, I would say inverts and hypers will be the mainstay for them. Even though only 3 hypers are existing for B&M, the first 2 have gotten rave reviews.

why would they take the whizzer out. It is a classic. If anything they will find a new spot so they can keep the coaster counter. I think the area talked about before in between shockwave and Iron Wolf will be the sight of a floorless roughly the height of 170. It'll be a big boy, at least i hope.

"Subbie 18, you are probably right. A ride Op back in August (where the super-boomerang rumor came from) said there could be a floorless He said the floorless would replace the Whizzer.

It depends if the Whizzer breaks down a lot this and next year. If the ride Op is correct, we will see the fourth B&M in Illinois by 2003."

Riiiight. I don't think they will get rid of the Whizzer, it's the only one of it's kind left! Besides, a floorless wouldn't fit very well in that area...it's not big enough.

If you ask me, I get the feeling by 2004ish or '05ish we may see a B&M flyer at SFGAm. They always get the first B&M of it's kind (ok, this will be the second...but first in America). That's just my little theory.

Will be at Busch Gardens Williamsburg April 27th.
The long rumored B&M Stand Up or Floorless for SFNE.
I heard from a press release that SFDL is getting a Vertcal drop coaster.
Maybe hershey........

I heard that too. Hershey is over due for any ride that B&M wants to install except for the inverted(B&M's Great Bear.) If that 2 coaster deal is true that GreatAdventureAddict had commented about then Hershey still has to get another. =) The rumors are between a Stand Up and a giga/hyper. If its B&M building it I guess you can rule the giga out. Stand up or Hyper, or maybe a Standup Hyper. =) You never know. I could see Hershey being the first to build that though.

I hope the inverted craze has gone away
Why? I think the inverted coaster was one of the biggest inovations that the amusement park world has ever experienced. I would say we are a LONG way from them being extinct in fabrication.

For some reason, I see B&M putting a sit-down in Canada's Wonderland.. Or at least a hyper...
I think the problem is that everyone thinks they know what's going in, when it's going in, how it's going in. Let's all collectively admit that we don't know shi@ from shinola, most of the time, and 95% of the so-called "sources" are people making stuff up. Why can't we just be content with the new rides that we know for sure are going in, and save ourselves from the inundation of bull-shi# rumors!

Who cares? The proof is when the park formally announces it, or Lance Hart at Screamscape posts it.

I would love to be able to predict where the next B&M would go, just like the rest of the readers, but why stir the messy cauldron of b.s., to get someone else's jollies up?

Ahem...

Screamscape? The site that said just last week that KCKC wasn't going to be removed? I'll agree that Lance is on the mark more than others, but I wouldn't take his posts as scripture. Nor would he, I'm sure. That's why his page is called "News and Rumors."

Anyway, it's fun to try and guess. Odds are somebody will guess right, and then they'll look like they know somebody important! :)

I was half-joking (only half though ;)). I know inverts are here to stay. I just like floorlesses, sit-downs a lot better. I know I'm probably in the minority. It's not that inverts aren't great (heck - if it's B&M, it's great), I'd just rather see more floorlesses, sit-downs, and hypers.

Aren't inverts floorless and sit-down? ;)

I certainly won't make any claims to know what type of B&M will be built next here in the U.S., but I sure wouldn't complain if more of their hypers started popping up.
Well, I know this will probably not be their next project in the U.S., but I am fantasizing about B&M installing one of their new flying coasters at either CP or IOA(completing their B&M triumverates). And yes, I know what you're thinking... but that's why I said "fantasizing".
I believe that B&M has a multi-coaster deal with SFMW. I suspect that B&M will build a hyper or stand-up at SFMW next season. With likely lifted height restrictions after the 2001 season, SFMW will opt to build something big from B&M in 2002 because of the huge expansion by PGA this season.
