What's going on with the Forum pages??

I can't wait, I been refreshing the home page every ten minutes. I have nothing better to do...

Man, you really need a hobby!

I've seen it, it's really cool... You won't be disappointed!

Isn't this a hobby? I'm on a coaster high. That's how addicted I'm to CB at the moment - refreshing the forum pages every minute or so while packing my bags for returning home.

Also this is the offseason.

I've always found white or yellow on dark blue ("navy") to be one of the easiest combos on the eyes. I kinda miss the old scheme, but this isn't bad.

Ick. Greg, you and those idiots at Big Beige who set "white on medium blue" as the default screen colors for the Apple IIgs, and those jerks at TinySquishy who love that @#$@! medium-blue background for the infamous BSOD.

Give me white, yellow, aqua, or green on black. Though these days, I guess we kind of have to live with the paper-inspired dark-on-light look for the Web...

(incidentally, I can remember when the default web page colors were black on light grey...)

Be careful, Dave. You're dating yourself....
Everyone here knows how old RideMan is, he doesn't need to date himself, lol.

For a moment there I thought someone was making a comment on the sad, sad state of my love life... (SWM, 30, ISO SF who loves roller coasters......)

It's just that I've been using microcomputers since before some people on this forum were born (started on a TRS-80 Model I in 1981)

You had a Trash 80 Rideman? Talk about ancient history. Downloading from a standard cassette recorder, 4 or 16k of ram. Makes you realize how far personal computing has come.
I didn't have one...my middle school did. And we had to learn BASIC on the 16k TRS-80 before they would allow us access to the two Apples: a 32k Apple ][ (with an Applesoft ROMcard) and a 48k ][+.

--Dave Althoff, Jr., keeping it brief 'cause we're way off topic here...
