whats going on top of stratosphere

It's been awhile nice i've visited this site, and I didn't see any recent topics about this, but recently the high roller was dismantled at the top of the stratosphere tower to make more room for new rides. I was wondering if anyone has heard what might be going in its place?
My cousin just got back from a trip to Las Vegas and I asked her if the coaster was still on the stratosphere and she said it was there but not running. This didn't surprise me even though I heard that it was said it was going to be taken down a couple of months ago.
How exactly would they take that down?

Same way they got it up there, I'd think.

But in reverse. :)

Do the trucks that carry the pieces away have to drive backwards then?

Blowtorch the thing and let the pieces fall? ;)

But only after marking off the pavement below in a grid pattern, painting it red and black and numbering it, and then placing your bets as to where the pieces land.

Newest game in town... Roller Coaster Roulette. If a piece lands in the square you pick, you win! (if anyone happens to be unfortunate enough to be standing in the square when the piece lands in it, it pays double!)

"Yes... well... VICTORY IS MINE!"
CP03rider - unless your cousin went to Vegas last year she is mistaken. The High Roller has been in the removal process since January. I'm sure it's gone by now. If there is anything left up there it is only a few pieces of it.

Was just there in March (before Solace) and most of Hi-roller track was still in place. There is probably no real rush to remove it until they decide on a use for the space.

I was gonna say, looked like it was still there last month on my visit.

Most of it if not all of it is probably still up there. Like boblogone said there is probably no big rush to get it down if there is no plan to put something else up there.
Right there are probably many pieces still left up there. Like they said they were taking their time. I know they have pulled off the trains and a few track pieces at least - I just assumed they'd be much further along than they are. Oh well.

From what I have heard the ride will be dismantled over the year in stages.
