After the second surgery she was told not to go back to speed-skating or ever ride a roller coaster again (she liked riding coasters but was not an enthusiast). I know she wasn't happy about it, but she did what was best for her. As of today she has very limited movement, and hoping to improve. I hope it is nothing serious, but if it does turn out to be something, be very careful and don't take any risks. It is not worth it.

Welcome to Batman Knight Flight, America's longest floorless coaster.
Great news! That quack-o-quacker deserves a STERN look by the licensing board at the very least. Of course, I don't exactly hold chiropractors in high regard to begin with.

Well, I could still enjoy my other hobbies, Racing, Hockey, Steam Trains, I believe I could still enjoy myself at parks also, without the forceful rides.
Chuck, who would be tempted to snap a flyer but could ride without doing so.

Doesn't it seem as though morons always have the caps lock on?
It might be that I've hardheaded (It runs in the family. My grandfather wouldnt give up drinking even though he had LUPUS and his Doctors told him it would kill him....and it did!) Now granted, I'm not addicted to roller coasters like that. If I never rode another coaster in my life from this day forward, I believe I could still be happy. But if my life has gotten so fragile that more and more of my activites are limited...well I wouldnt like that very much at all....I've always said it was my goal to live right to the moment I die!

I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead
Thanks so much you guys! I was really scared there for awhile. Thanks Doctor KickTheSky I think I will take YOUR medical advice! I still have to go to a orthopedic doctor because I do still have back and neck problems but I used to work for an orthopedics so I KNOW some that I really trust in this area. I'm DONE with quack-o-practors though!!! ;) SFGA your right about that. I have been riding coasters, the whole point was that if I really did have a fractured neck that I wouldn't have been able to because the first jerk that I got on one would have probably paralysed me. The quack said that that would never happen...but HOW does he know! I dont think ANYONE would know that for sure that a fracture wouldn't move or harm me anymore IF I had one (which I dont! Have I mentioned that!!!! :) ) I'm in just SUCH a good mood today that you cannot believe it!
HAVE A GREAT DAY ALL!!!

Posting, "Me too" like some brain dead AOLer. I ought to to the world a favor, and cap you like old yeller...

If the shoe fits, find another one.
ravenguy ok I could MAYBE see the fractured neck as an "honest mistake" because things like that happen all the time, but telling someone that they have spina bifida is NOT an "honest mistake". That is a MAJOR medical disease that you just don't diagnose someone with if you ARE NOT an MD or the like there of. What medical background does a chiropractor have to diagnose that? They dont. MDs go to school for 8 years, chiropractors only 6. Thats just 2 years more than a bachlors degree.
So because you are not in my shoes and do not know what it is like to be told by some stupid quack that you have a serious disease... you maybe able to say it was an "honest mistake" but I know that if you were me and knew people with the disease...you would not be saying that it was an "honest mistake" you would be saying that is he a quack that should not be alowed to work on people ever again.

NLC,
I just talked with a friend of mine that is a licenced M.D. He basically told me that spina bifida diagnosis' are usually made quite early in life(usually at birth) and that any normal M.D. (read pediatrician) would have made that diagnosis long ago if you have it. That said, he said that you should sue the pants of this chiropractor. He said if you have the diagnosis in writing you will likely get a quick settlement out of court.(he is an OB/GYN which has the highest rates for malpractice insurance so he knows about this stuff)
Now, as for RavenGuy, why is it that in any given thread you have to try and stir everyone up and be so mean? Are you just a troll? I have to wonder. I don't think I have ever seen a post from you where you offer something constructive to the boards. More often you are cutting down someone elses comments or just generally being rude to others. If you don't have anything nice to say dont say it at all.
