What will be the nest new coaster "thing"?

Not my strong point sorry! But Floorless coasters on a hyper track would be amazing!

I think a launched flyer would make an interesting ride, or even a suspended one where the seats would sway side to side during turns.

PCarowinds - you mean like this?

No, I meant a suspended flying coaster. Not an ordinary suspended coaster. My bad...

Oh, ok ;)

A random Mooshter's Dawntionary listing: Osteopornosis [n.] A degenerate disease.

I mentioned this before in that *other* thread, but I'd really love to see a woodie with some sort of launch system built into a ravine type setting thats heavily forested. Imagine Beast without its lifts, and having two launch areas instead.

Wood - anything else is an imitation

Amazing... I always think PCarowinds is a goner, and then he posts...

Anyway, the next new "thing" in the coaster industry will be to designs and build rides far too intense and dangerous to allow people to ride. The crew will cycle the ride around every once in a while to build excitement for guests. Potential riders will enter the line, make their way to the queue house, and sit in the coaster, pull the lap bar down, and pretend what it would be like to ride. The lap bar would be raised and riders would exit, and buy their "on-ride" photo.

Is that a Q-bot in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

To accomodate for the lack of space at so many parks, in the future, all new coasters will be simulators. :)

But I will be mad for your atrocious spelling!

(Valcano) Funny!

Crashmando, you may want to check your sig. Especially alphengiest and nirto..No big deal, though.

Let's try new rides that don't take 3 years or longer before they work properly.

And by the way Moosh, I love those Dictionary listings of yours. Find myself checking your sig to see the next one.

What? I think Nirto is a super ride!

"You know its a good ride when you come into the final brake run wiping tears from your eyes."

I'm still hoping that the 4th Dimension will catch on. Its just too good of a ride concept to let go. Parks can do so much with it, from something like X, to even a non-inverter, hyper-style ride.

Launched 4D Woodie with a splash down. Honest, PKI in '04. :)

Notify me in two weeks when this topic comes up again.

Now that's an idea I can appreciate.

boblo...Capacity would dictate it being an upcharge....then again, I'd pay extra for a ride on that....OK, maybe two rides....;)

I am not sure about the "next generation" of coasters and rides, except that it might be more of a "pay as you go type" as parks seem to want more and more money. If they could make extra bucks on the new - hot - promotable ride - I think they will try to do it.
