What about SFoG? It's kinda interesting considering you can see Atlanta from the park, the city is maybe 10 miles away, but Six Flags acknowledges it as being in Austell. Hmmmmmm........
When you drive down 280, you bypass all the metro areas. You are pretty much driving in the boonies (it's very scenic as well). Yeah, 101 is crowded, that's why I said 280 is an alternative. I used to take this route all the time. I worked in SF on weekend mornings, and I had to haul ass down to SJ State for my radio station gig in the late afternoon. It took me about 40 mins. 280 is literally like the Autobahn. It's also the place you will see some of the nicest cars you will ever see. I've seen a couple of F40's, Diablos, Hennessey Vipers, etc. I think they might give you more thrills than PGA ever will!
