What was done to dudley

What happened to Dudley's drop anyways? And for those that have been on it since the construction, how has the final drop changed?
I have been on it a few times since it was had its yearly construction, and I cant figure out what was different. I think they retracked it, but it doesn't seem very differen.t Maybe a little steeper, but I dont think so. They did ad some new waterguns at the end of the ride for people to shoot you.

Thanks
Great news. That has to be the wildest water ride drop I've ever been on. I was a little worried.
The most airtime I have ever got without a restraint. Also the wettest flume ride I've been on. I guess they made it a little bit wetter.
Im going in 3 days i hate getting wet.
I hate getting wet too. But Dudley's is a must do. I didn't regret it one bit.... and I got absolutely soaked!

That drop is insane!

I must be the only person in the world who doesn't get the hype surrounding Dudley. I thought it was one of the most boring flume rides I've ever ridden, which is a shame because from the outside it looks so cool.

Popeye and Bluto, on the other hand, it excellent.

^ I'm guessing the colors made you vomit also?

I went on it, and there it little to no difference of the drop, and it actually seems like it's going faster than before the construction.

^^ Nothing special? Than what would you call special? Some crappy normal outside flume? One that was just placed somewhere, and had a name slapped on it? This is a flume that has all the positives of a regular flume and even a theme! Dudley even has three large drops. It's like saying that Popeye isn't special.

Sorry. I get a little angry when people insult a great ride.

It's a lot of plastic figures and dull scenes. It wasn't even close to the theme of the Knott's flume, let alone the Disney flumes. I guess the drop had good air, but not great air.

That is just my opinion though. :) I know many others won't agree with me. *** Edited 4/5/2004 9:50:18 PM UTC by GoliathKills***

Color of what? What the hell are you talking about?

I completely agree with GoliathKills. The outside of Dudley is fantastic, and I expected an equally well-themed ride on the inside. Instead there was little to no theming at all along the ride itself, aside from a cardboard cutout or two. If there was a story there, it was so loosly told that I missed it all. For all the "theming" there was along the ride, it might as well have been an outdoors flume ride. Heck, I would have preferred a nice outside flume through the woods (ala CP) to Dudley's featureless walls. Compare Dudley to Splash Mountain. I strongly favor IOA to the Disney parks (and the IOA rides to their Disney counterparts) but Dudley was just a poor attempt. Splash Mountain rocks. Dudley does not. I suggest taking a few deep breaths and repeating "It's just a ride" to yourself a few times before replying.

The color of Dudley. You should know what I'm talking about. Everyone else does. At least the ones who were around for your notoriously stupid post about the color of BORG being "ugly" and dying the water a shade of "vomit" green.

So sayeth the guy who complains about the "color" of a ride AND the color of water underneath it.

Its so nice to know that I'm not the only one, Rampage:)

Some people just don't get it, but thankfully, you, Impulse-ive, and quite a few others still get the joke.

How is calling a ride ugly "notoriously stupid"? My opinion was that it's ugly. I still think it's ugly. I think green water underneath would be a terrible idea. So why is expressing that stupid? The only people being stupid are the ones who are making a big deal out of the fact that I didn't like the color of the ride. Boo-freakin'-hoo.

I didn't get worked up about it. I stated my opinion, and moved on. This is a message board, and if you can't handle people posting their opinions, maybe you shouldn't be here. Perhaps you should grow up and quit crying because I didn't like how some stupid ride looks.

Oh, so they're your "opinions" now? When did it change from fact to opinions, oh great and powerful nate? *** Edited 4/6/2004 3:15:24 AM UTC by TeknoScorpion***

Really? I think you left excess baggage behind in the form of other posts considering that you have "moved on" and all.

Trust me on this one. I honestly could care less about how you feel about a ride. I think I speak for the majority whenever I say that we are just tired of your "notoriously stupid" post about baby things such as the color of a ride, the color of the water underneath the ride, etc... You grow up my friend and then go ride something that you don't consider "stupid" because of it's color scheme.

Please note: I didn't say the ride was stupid. I didn't say I hate the ride. I said I hate the color scheme. In a thread about what people think about the ride's new look, why is it okay to post the stupid, tired, "That looks great!!!!!!!!" but it's not okay to disagree and think the color scheme was a poor choice? Does it really bother you that much that I didn't like the color of the ride?

Apparently you don't have the "could care less"[sic] attitude, since you cared enough to bring it up out of the blue in this completely unrelated thread.

Tekno, do you honestly have nothing better to do than wait for me to post and post some ridiculous comment?

-Nate

Not right now, no:) Anything to get a rise out of you, nate, is always fun. Plus, even when I'm doing stupid stuff like this, it always seems to bother you, so thats an added bonus.
