PaulD: I think all those points could be challanged.
1: No one has seen an enclosed themed Top Spin type ride before.
2. It could take year to fully develop the show/building/effetcs, not just the conveyance/
3. The ride is not 20 minutes, that includes all the pre-show elements.

Anyone think that this could be a new type of ride from HUSS?
It's possible, isn't it? That might be where the "unlike anything else" comes in.

Peabody is correct.
Even if the actual ride part of the ride 'may' be 'similar' to something we 'may' or 'may not' have seen before, it's the whole experience that counts IMO. Those that are thinking along the lines of, "it's just a ride in a box', or "it's a simulator on tracks" may be thinking differently after seeing what resides in those buildings. Remember, you can study something on paper forever but what counts is when you are finally on it. That is where the magic happens.
I know everyone has opinions, and I know there will be those that won't care for the attraction, but from the looks of it, this truly will be somerthing that we have never experianced before. The Midwest has NEVER seen this level of detail on a attraction before.. at least not in this part of the country. Trust me!
Within the last couple of months, my enthusiasts for this ride has increased greatly because I understand what the ride isn't, and realize that there is SO much more to this attraction then just the ride' vehicle'. I honestly do think there are going to be some pleased people come April when this opens.

My two cents....
Maybe it is some sort of new heavily themed track ride where you strap into a car that catapults throughout the chamber, passing special effects along the way - sort of like a bunch of short LIM launches along track in a big themed building. That would allow for the ability to ascend upwards in an ice room toward stalactites, and then maybe cross over the top of a wall and plunge in a free fall toward the lava pit. The track could be so twisted that it might REQUIRE many brakes and LIMS to keep the ride going. Don't forget - the park has said that this ride is going to contain the elements of all 4 major classifications of amusement park rides. That would include getting wet.

It's his turn to feast, when you ride the Son of Beast.
While I still cannot be sure what kind of ride vehicle it is (I'm still leaning slightly towards a giant top-spin based on what I've seen), most of the people defending the idea that the ride is unlike anything we've seen before is forgetting that just because we think of it as a "ride in a box", it doesn't make the ride any less impressive. Since we have not seen or heard of any tracked vehicles or accessories arriving so far, it's fair to think that the ride itself is not a tracked device.
A good example of this would be Twilight Zone Tower Of Terror. Essentially a freefall ride, it's redesigned to take advantage of multiple stop points to immerse you in the theming, while cycling as many people through as possible. The theming makes it a truly impressive ride and sends it up near the top of my favorite rides of all time. You can also say that Spiderman is simply a tracked dark ride like the old style haunted houses.
Just an idea, but the Giant Top Spin idea has a lot of merit. A giant screen fills your field of vision to give the story. You can have the different temperature elements by shooting cold/warm air through pipes hidden in the screen or on the gondola itself. The fall through fire could be simulated by bringing the top spin to the uppermost position and locking it, then tilting it forward as the "fall" happens.
Just some ideas. Probably wrong, but the elements described would make the ride a different ride than any top spin before (since the ride program would have to be customized to the movie), yet still be a familiar ride "in a box".
A good tip-off would be the height requirement for the ride -- a tracked simulator a la Spider-Man would be about 40 inches while a Top Spin would be in the 48 inches camp. But I haven't seen that posted yet, which would make it seem as if the ride is possibly a unique system that needs to be tested first.
Sorry I apologize i misconverted the height. It can be a giant top spin sorry guys. I'm not sure tho.

Top Spins, like the one at PCW, have a wall of water that soaks its riders, SecondSon.
FYI PCW Does NOT Have a Top Spin, the ride you are referring to is a Mondial Splashover. There are only 2 Splashovers in the world. 0001 is at PCW and 0002 is at Lagoon in Utah. Get your facts stright . This ride can still be a Top Spin, there are Many Huss Top Spins Without water... Also SonOfABeast if a Giant Top Spin is impossible what would you call this: http://www.hussrides.com/31GiantTopSpin.htm

Well everyone, only as of now (32 days, 8 hours, 7 min, and 45 sec.) untill opening day. I think we can wait that long?!
Also, it's past February and still no update on the Antechamber but i'm sure it'll come soon. "Can litterally catapult you through out the whole chamber," what does this hint to? I still can't get over how well themed this ride will be. From the picture in the article it looks like one of those workers is going through a huge engraved door and beyond that it's kind of hard to make out.
One more thing, was this story in the news or just the Enquire?
-----------------
I saw the article in the Cincinnati Enquirer. I have no idea if it is in any other newspaper.
I just wanted to remind some of you who think it will involve some giant screen, or 3D projection, that the article specifically states that it will NOT incorporate those kinds of effects.
Also, just because we have not seen track or vehicles arrive at the park doesn't mean they couldn't have been taken in at night when it was dark.
And the height requirement is predicted to be 54 inches, so it must be one heck of a top-spin-splashover thingy.

I`ve ridden Son of Beast 67 times!

Koaster King,
I am not certain, but I don't think the park has ever said the entire project was designed in house. I know they had a LOT to say about what the attraction will be like, but the actual ride system could very easily be from an outside vendor.
Robbie,
You hit the nail on the head! If more people would think like you, there would be a lot more people that understand that the whole experiance is more than just the actual ride portion. I know for a fact that there will be MANY surprised people when this thing opens.
This area of the country has never seen theming like this in a area park.. I am fully confident it truly will raise the bar at how we see detail.

I know that most people know that the portion before the ride and the experience as a whole will be breathtaking and unlike anything we've seen before at a seasonal park in the US. I've said that before, so don't think I didn't feel that way. I've said it about a hundred times and I didn't think there was a need to repeat it again. I already am in the state of mind that I will be going through TR:TR and then going out the chicken chute, so I won't be disappointed or anything if it does turn out to be some form of a top spin for the ride portion. I mean, am I really that shallow to want to know what the ride portion is and tell people what I think it is? Sorry if I misunderstood something about the entire project being in-house design. I really don't know who produced the ride, but of course, we know who did the theming.
I know the ride isn't all that matters. If that was true, my refreshment of choice at parks wouldn't be eye candy(thank you BGT, BGW, IOA, and Disney!! etc., etc.). Some of my favorite parks don't even have the greatest coasters.
