CPlaya, have you already been to HW and rode Legend and Raven or did I miss something??
Unfortunately, no. I say unfortunately cuz Raven Maven was gonna squeeze CBaby and me in for the Discovery Channel filming last summer, but I couldn't get my schedule worked out to make it. CBaby was deeply disappointed...about as bummed out as I've ever seen her.
A trip to HW is very, very, very high on my list for Coaster #100...but I've heard some other great ideas I hadn't considered, too. I'm not ignoring you.
Cowboy Curtis: Click on my info. See my little daughter (Da Midget) on my back? A kiddie coaster would only be ironic if I wasn't riding so many of them already. In fact, some of my park choices are based on which one has the best collection for the younguns.

My suggestion would be to go to Japan and ride SD2K. Not because it is the tallest.... not because it is the longest.... not because it is the fastest. I would go to Nagashima to ride SD2K for the experience of going to Japan; i.e. the wonderment of milling among the Japanese, the incredible humidity, the food, the cleanliness (it is like Jesus walked here), and the sheer beauty of Spaland.
If not that, then Ghostrider................all the way! The best coaster experience in the world, hands down. Oh, and btw, I loved ST, but Ghostrider is another animal altogether (with huge emphasis on animal:))

www.tripowered.com is all you need to know
I was going to suggest Dodonpa, just because it's the fastest and it's so far away...
I do think S:TE is a good idea because then you could do X next and argue with yourself about whether S:TE or X was your 100th.

The legend lives!
How about Screechin' Eagle? Assuming they're open when you can get there.
If you want to make a trip out of it, see my signature.

22 parks in 2001.
Tremors, my 100th coaster.
Ghostrider, stopped counting laps at 100.

Pearl Jam + Roller Coasters = Heaven on Earth. :)
On another note, why is it that the Racer at PKI isn't counted as two separate coasters? Each side is in fact a coaster. If we use that kind of rule then why bother counting each and every SLC you ride? I know I'm probably pulling up an old sore spot from the past here on CB but I always wondered that.
I agree completely with that. However, each person has their own unique way, and there is no right or wrong way. Whatever is right to you should be what you use :)

Well..if the same coaster can perform differently with just the time of day, it's fair to say that the same model of coaster in a different location is a unique experience.
Of course, you were asking this question in general instead of to me in particular. If you check my record ('Info' button above), you'll see I've never been on a Vekoma SLC. In fact, I've only been on one Boomerang (LC's Zoomerang) and one B:TR (SFGAM's) to boot. No clones in my count at all.

I've traded in my 2000 Giovanola for a 2002 Arrow X4D :)
My other car is now an Arrow X4D!
It really doesn't take that much effort if you live on a coast. I could finish off 100 coasters in a single weekend if I took Highway 35 south to Texas....but I didn't see anything there that really struck me as #100 material.
No offense was intended by that statement...just nothing unique enough from what I've already boarded or what might be in a half-dozen other parks across America.
