What other rides would you add to the top of the Stratosphere?

With the Kong movie coming out....maybe they can go back to those plans to have the giant monkey climb the side of the tower. They already have this attraction approved through the city/county(?)! This is not a joke. They really have approval for some sort of "ride the monkey" attraction.

When their plans for the coaster were thwarted, a few years back, the owner(s) threatened to build the monkey attraction to spite the local government... Apparently local government turned down the coater based upon the old noise and eyesore argument. It was funny that 10-20 years earlier they actually approved the Kong concept...as if the giant monkey would not be an eyesore...?

As an aside...they (Stratosphere) also got mad and pulled out of the monorail project...they originally were going to be the last stop/station on the North end of The Strip! Strtosphere has shown that they are willing to cut off their nose to spite their face...Anyhow...should Kong take off as a huge hit...and given the lack of space on TOP of the tower...something utilizing the side of the structure may be the only choice for future expansion...who knows?

Small huss frisbees were inward seating werent they? why not a Moser instead. I like the screaming squirrel idea though, right on/over the edge. Anything basically over the edge with unexpected flips or what not would be interesting, like a top spin/giant top spin that swings/flips over the edge. Well, what clearly is missing on Stratosphere is
STRATOSFEAR... the Stratacoaster that ACTUALLY drops you down there!
Something like an inverse rocked that starts up on the top deck, freefalls to ground level and then catapults you back up... maybe twisting around the tower with some insane 0G rolls or helixes thrown in.

^^^...But I guess there were already plans for sth similar which were disapproved for one or the other reason.
Maybe they should just change their plans a little and not roar across their neighbors real estate so much, but keep it more confined by circling the tower. *** Edited 11/26/2005 6:38:54 PM UTC by superman***

Or why not a toboggan? You get in that little car and go vertical up the whole side of the building, then you just go around and around... and around and around... and around some more all the way to the bottom.

Or a Roller Soaker type ride where you dump water on unsuspecting people at ground level.

OK...the Starflyer would get my vote! OMG would that kick butt. I would think people would really "pee their pants!" on that.

I think Something like the StarFlyer, only instead of it raising up, it would lower you down so you'd be flying around the top part of the tower. With nothing but 1000ft. underneath you. :)... *drools*

Well, unfortunately it was released to the press that insanity would be the final ride on the stratosphere. At very first I thought of the frisbee, but knew it was too big, even the small one is probably too big. I think the only way to get a coaster to go down the side without killing people by G-Force, is to use something like the Ghoster Coaster with the elevator. That would be an awesome way to get to the bottom of the strat. I think something like a chaos instead of it tilting up it would tilt out over the edge. They could build a second deck below, and that be where you get on the new swings. I never thought swings could be scary but I would so pee my pants.

If there was room to build this close to the edge, this would make me pee my pants.
