What makes a mine train a mine train?

Dexter was right up there with an awesome helix ending. I miss it!

Same here. I used to hit SFAW on Sundays when I lived in Houston 88-90 and the park was dead so I'd spend an hour on each coaster and work my way through the park. That helix was one of the best. I just wonder what it'd be like if they had built it in a tunnel like originally intended. That would have rocked.

How can we talk about mine trains without mentioning Adventure Express or the Big Thunder Mountain RRs?

A mine train doesn't need wooden supports. I would look at the cars that make up the train. That's a big clue, especially if you're an adult and your knees are very uncomfortable:) They also often have more than one lifthill. It doesn't have to be made by Arrow either. Just look at Quicksilver Express at Bonfante Gardens which is made by Morgan.

What is a coaster?

Hobbes: "What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do?"
Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."

Whatever RCDB says is and isn't. ;)

Me? I'm dishonest, and a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for, because you can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly... stupid.
