What lift takes the longest?

There have been a lot of newer, taller coasters built, but these newer coasters have better and faster lifts (MF, Goliath)

What coaster's lift takes the longest?

I know Viper takes a while. What else?

Colossus takes forever!  Especially backwards!

I have a feeling that, if not number one, Steel Dragon's is at least in the top five. I could have sworn hearing that it takes over a minute to get to the top...but don't quote me on that ;o)

Yes. SFMM's Colossus all the way!  The thing pratically stops at the top.

Totally SFMM 2.0

The Ultimate.

Lift height: 145ft
Flat section: approximatlu 150ft
speed: ~2mph

Lift time; a little over 2 minutes

Steel Force at DP takes a long time as well.
Desparado's lift hill is over a third of the ride time
Although it's not high by any means, Iron Dragon is really slow on the first lift. It slows down to like a half of a mph!
Phantom's Revenge takes a minute to go 160 feet.  That's slower than Magnum's 205 foot minute climb.

Christ how do you kids do it

Steel Force, Desparado & Magnum XL-200...
It's the Ultimate in  Lightwater Valley by far!  That thing is slower than molasses in winter!

If you see me running, try and keep up!

I notice that none of these slow lifts are B+M's.

What makes a lift go faster?

I know Mamba/SteelForce/WT are long.
-----------------
Mamba; The inspiration for SD2K. It doesnt get much better than that. Come to the Midwest;and ride the most underrated coaster in the U.S.
Lift's go faster with, trains not weighing as much, lift hills not being steep, and of course a more powerful motor.

Not MLK's words but mine..I have a Dream! I have a DREAM! I HAVE A DREAM!
I have a dream! That SFMM fans will be able to walk hand in hand with CP's!
AND no ONE cares what a coaster is and what a coaster isn't!

Thanks. I guess that explains why most of the slow lifts are the older ones.
Let's see: Apollo's Chariot (BGW), Lazer (DP), Shockwave (PKD).

SFA 2002-What are they building?

The Lazer at Dorney used to go alot faster up the lift. It used to only go slow until the whole train engaged the lift, and then it sped up. Cedar Fair has altered a few things with the ride.  Do they still run 2 trains? Since Cedar Fair has taken it over I have only seen it run with 1 train on my visits there.
I totally agree about Laser. The lift is longer than the ride itself!!!!
