What is the most underrated park/ride in America??

Of any coaster I've been on I would hands down say the Joker's Jinx. When I first rode it I was blown away. It is so fun, and the twists and supports are so clever. And all you pigs do is critisize it because of a little headbanging on an increadably soft horsecollar. I think all of you pigs should be ashamed.

Underrated ride - Silver Comet (CCI) at Martin's Fantasy Island
Unfortunately MFI is a small family park.Besides the coaster there really isn't another draw to get people to the park. Hopefully that will change in the next few years.
X Factor, you rock! Blue Streak at Conneaut Lake is SO underrated. I'm sorry, but compared to other "old" out-and-backs, BS at CL is definately the best. This is from a die-hard CP fan, and I say it beats CP's Blue Streak's pants off.

Millennium Force: the ride of the year 2000.
Agree. Moreys Pier's is the most underrated park out there. Over 80 rides, 2 waterparks, 7 coasters, and the list goes on and on. No gate and free parking on the island. Who can compete with that?
Grizzly at PKD - why I think it is under-rated.

You have to realize that when I did ride it, it was back in '92 - the year before Paramount purchased the Kings Entertainment chain. Sure it has a slow start, but after the first turn around, that train hauled butt throughout the rest of the course. Plus a near head chopper effect on the tunnel as well as pitch black night rides, it ranked right up there among my favorites at the time.

I do not know how the ride is today or what Paramount has done to modify it. It looks like Wayne's World has maybe ruined the secluded location of the coaster. I'll have to get back to PKD again soon to find out.

X Factor
I think the most underrated park is Cedar Point. I would also like to say that the most underrated ride is the Millenium Force. The most overrated ride at CP is Cedar Downs. I also think that Blazing Fury at Dollywood is Waayy over hyped. I'm gonna have to say that Michigan's adventure is rather overrated.

Whooaaaa, strike that, reverse it. It's that new translator I got from willy Wonka. I'm still having trouble with it.
Man, in all honesty, I like Cedar Downs...

Michigan's Adventure is not over rated IMO, Shivering Timbers is just Highly rated by anyone that has ridden it, you never really hear anyone talk about Michgan's Adverture, its always just Shivering Timbers. Which IMO is the best woody on the planet, it has everything you would look for in a wooden rollercoaster, and very smooth for a woodie. Also very underrated is PKI, the rides are not bad, SOB was way under my expectations, but The Beast, Outer Limits, Vortex, ect. all great rides... and the best thing about the park is how beautiful it is, take a helocopter ride to get the full effect of the park. I have only been to about 5 parks so far but none of them have come close to PKI for the landscape. Like CP, I understand its an island but its all packed in and seems the same with SFO, but PKI is very spaced. You do have to walk a little more but its definalty worth it for the beauty of the park. Other parks should hire there land scapers! *** This post was edited by Relic on 1/24/2001. ***
I have to agree with hurricane 2001. Hurricane in Myrtyl Beach is an awsome woody!
My vote for most underrated park goes to Indiana Beach. The atmosphere is so unlike any other park in America. The vote for most underrated coaster goes to Villain at SFO. It's pretty slow in the morning, but once it warms up, hold on tight!!!

new2coastn - yes! silver comet! I also think that the flights of fear are underrated. i honestly don't think they're that rough! OL:FOF at PKD was the first (only) launched coaster I've been on. When i heard those LIM's warm up.. that was awesome.
PointMan, what are you talking about? CP is like the #1 park on every list. Yeah that's underrated. It should be #0, right? No park could ever touch it. Whatever? And MF, is like #1 or 2. Ok? We need a space higher than number 1 people. Not good enough. Oh, I see. You misunderstood. Underrated means not rated as high as it should be. And when has Blazing Fury been hyped at all? I personally enjoy it and have several rides on it when I visit Dollywood. It has a really nice theme to it and creeps some kids out. Very fun for what it's supposed to be. That's ok that you accidently switched the meanings around. ;) *** This post was edited by bcdzoom on 1/25/2001. ***
bcdzoom: Apparently, you havent seen Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. WW says "We must hurry! So much time, so little to do.....Strike that, reverse it". Really he meant to say so much to do and so little time. In the above post PointMan was saying that Blazing Fury, Cedar Downs and Michigan's Adventure were underrated and CP and MF were over rated. It was a joke man ;)

Most underrated wooden coaster IMO is Thunder Run at SFKK. In my opinion it's better than any of the woodies at PKI and CP.

Thank you Disney, thank you...
Most underrated park is definitely SFA. The most underrated ride(s) are Roar and Dueling Dragons. Branching off the subject a little...the most overrated are MF, Magnum, and Raptor ;).
-------------
Parks for 2000: CP, Great Escape, Great Adventure, SFA, Islands of Adventure, Kennywood
kennywood is realy not under rated
Rolling Thunder at Six Flags Great Adventure is really underrated. It provides lots of airtime, two great tracks, and an awesome first drop. The trains are great b/c the lap bar is not restrictive at all, its a good six inches away from the lap. Even though this ride is "neglected" it provides a great ride.
Underrated Ride: Mine Train at SFOT - Its a classic, how could you not like it?
Underrated Park: SFKK, I've never been there but it seems to be over looked.

LOL! I completely missed that comment 2Hostyl. Thanks. I was wondering what planet PointMan was from. ;)
