What is the most underrated park/ride in America??

I think great bear is underrated. I know it's a bit short and the ending isn't the best in the world but you gotta love the way it meanders through the park.

There's nothing like a woodie...
How about basically all Euro parks? Once we all start travelling away from our precious home parks and get to Europe, we'll be able to enjoy gems like Alton Towers, BPB, Port Adventura, Parc Asterix, etc.. Those parks consistently amaze me with the pure insanity at which they run the rides. BPB's "Roller Coaster" has no restraints! Just a sign that says "Please Hold On" ...!

For the most underrated ride, I'd have to say Superman The Escape, since Kumba has already been mentioned. Now S:TE can really vary depending on the tightness of your bar, but don't all coasters? The ride has some of the most stunning airtime I've experienced, not to mention quite a view.
Thanks Millennium Force for recognizing Blackpool Pleasure Beach. I have been to loads of parks in the US, including Cedar Point and SFMM, and BPB is among one of the best. No Theme Park Mentality here, and no long lines!

#Life is a rollercoaster you just gotta ride it#
I will agree with Paramount Carowinds as a very underated park. They have a great selection of coasters. Top Gun is a great invert and only ranks second to Montu as far as inverts go for me.
The saturator was easily the best time I have ever had waiting in line to ride a coaster, And fun to ride too. Thunder Run always allows you to ride Forwards or Backwards adding to a great coaster. Hurler was a nice surprise. The Cyclone was really smooth for an older arrow. Even the Ghoster Coaster was Fun. Vortex is a good ride but could use new trains.

However it seems no one talks about this park or its coaster collection.

So Paramount Carowinds and Top Gun get my votes for most underated.

#1 Steel-Incredible Hulk
#1 Wood--Timber Wolf
Shockwave at SFGAm!!! That ride is awesome!!! I t doesn't bang your head that much if you hold your neck a little. It's great for how old it is!!! If they take it down I will hate that!!! A day at SFGAm would just not be the same without Shockwave!!!

Six Flags Great America #1 Park!!! AOL Im ScreenName : RollrCoastr00
I will have to jump on the bandwagon here and say Paramount's Carowinds is the most underrated park. Although it seems to be the ugly duckling of the Paramount chain, it has improved in leaps and bounds over the last few years with the addition of Top Gun. Now, if we could just get that long-rumored hyper, it would be a major player in the industry.
Park-Jazzland
Ride-Mega Zeph
Mega Zeph will not go unnoticed for long.
Underrated ride - The Boss at SFStL
Underrated park - Silverwood (maybe just undervisted)
The Boss at SFSTL is the most under-rated coaster. I worked at SFSTL over the summer and the line for the ride was always 2 to 3 hours with all three trains running. Some people may think that its because its new, but everyone that comes off says it GREAT! I worked in Food Service, but you still encounter tons of ride opinions. Everyone's opinion was the same, The Boss Rocks!
I think that Demon at SFGAm is very underrated. It never has more than a 10 minute line for me and it is a great coaster IMO. It has stood the test of time very well. Maybe I just like it so much because I have ridden it so many times. I love that ride. I think SFO is pretty underrated. It has the most variety of any park in the coaster section, plus with a waterpark and now a marine park it will have a good variety of things to do. Water rides, coasters, water animals. Great park.

How can you say S:TE is uderrated? Its on every TV show and probably everyone's top ten list (I hate those!).

May The G-Forces Be With You...Me!
IMO, the most underated ride is Zeus @ Big Chiefs Karts and Coasters. It is a really fun ride, (#1 woodie) and when you ride it @ night, you're in a for a big suprise. The most underated park I think is SFGAm. It is my homepark, but it is hardly ever showed on TV. and I have heard a lot of people put it down. I don't know why? It's great park with a nice atmousphere (sp?) Anyways this is just my opnion...

I can agree that the BOSS at Six Flags St. Louis is one sweet ride.

You build it, I'll ride it...eventually
I agree with LakeAC. Boulder Dash is an awesome woodie that gets some praise, but not as much as it deserves. Also, Lake Compounce is a fabulous park filled with quality classic attractions. It is a pure joy to visit this park and have 15-minute wait times even on a perfect summer Saturday. I guess SFNE eats upthe crowds that would otherwise come to this park.

Theme Park New England

My vote would tend towards The Boss, too. It's just an awesome coaster thats not getting the respect that it deserves. Personally, I think people dog it because they say its too rough, IMO, its not. Also, they compare it to CCI's other coasters and expect it to deliver the same type of ride and it doesnt. It offers a totally out of control ride, inwhich IMO sets it apart.

Dayuum, Your HOT!
I'd say stand-ups are as underrated as anything out there. I love them (hence the name) because I feel the lateral G's more than on any other ride, and I like that sensation more than even air time on hypers. But they never seem to get the hype other types get. I would think that if people really saw them as inferior to other rides parks wouldn't invest so much into them. I'm not saying they're the best out there right now, but I'd take stand-up trains on just about any coaster over other types.
Basically, A LOT of parks and rides are underrated, but I won't go into that at the moment. I'd say that the most underrated ride that I know of is Medusa at SFMW. Everyone always talks about Medusa at SFGadv, but no one ever mentions the west coast version. It's sheer perfection in design and function. Simply perfect. As for underrated park, I'd say the park where Medusa resides, SFMW. When people talk about California, it's always SFMM, or Disneyland and now DCA, and sometimes even PGA. People don't really think about SFMW, or when they do, it's normally just, "Oh yeah, and SFMW has rides too." They have a great collection of flat rides, great shows, two of the best coasters in existence in Roar and Medusa, plus they are getting the new Impulse this year. I am hoping that more and more enthusiasts come to SFMW and give it the credit it deserves. Peace. :)

Medusa at Marine World: the best in the west!
My list of underrated coasters I've ridden are (and which many of you may disagree with)

1. Big Dipper, Six Flags Ohio
2. Blue Streak, Conneaut Lake
3. Screechin' Eagle, Americana
4. Racer, PKI
5. Gemini, Cedar Point
6. Viper, SFGAm
7. Timber Wolf, Worlds of Fun
8. Loch Ness Monster, BGW
9. Predator, SFDL
10. Grizzly, PKD

These are coasters that I think are great but don't seem to get much recognition anymore. I know many will say they hate Predator at Darien Lake, but riding it in the front seat last summer gave my buddy and I. a very wild ride filled with airtime. Wasn't rough at all. I thought it was better than the steel behemoth standing next door.
