What is the best amusement park that you have been to?(In general)

Has anyone been to Universal Property in Orlando? Figured a few of you would give it some consideration. It's my favorite place, and I live in Cleveland(I know, sacrilege).

1 Ceder Point, no other park is even close.

2 SF great adventure. Just visited there first time last week. Nice park, allthough typical SF bad costmer relations ect...

3 Hershey

4 Kennywood

5 All the rest I have visited. I just love amusement Parks.

Meh, I knew about and loved Dollywood before y'all knew how to wipe your own ass. =p

You've got to love it - despite the fact that this topic is 'in breech of TOS' peeps are still posting left, right and centre. Power to the peeps, I say! Keep it coming, it's so wonderful to hear your recommended parks - every one of them sounds like a great place to visit. Spread the word and spread it with passion!

Oh, and my favourite parks are Alton Towers and Blackpool Pleasure Beach (and not forgetting Shipley's Riverside Amusement Park...;-) )

My all time favorite park has to be WDW's Magic Kingdom, and of course I like Islands of Adventure and all the other Orlando parks, but here are some others:

Busch Gardens Williamsburg- Pretty much the closest you can get to a Disney or Universal experience without being in one of their parks. With the great rides, shows, and atmosphere, this park has it all, and in a beautiful setting.

Dollywood- Dollywood certainly gives Busch Gardens a battle for the prize. The Staff are the best, the theming is wonderful, and the park has great live entertainment, rides, and FOOD! Plus, you have all the cultural attractions and historical exhibits that help keep the heritage of the area alive. Dollywood is my home park, and I've been visiting for near 20 years, yet it continues to amaze me on every trip.

Six Flags Over Georgia- It's a Six Flags park, so I'm sure it’s commonly looked over as being good, but I really think SFOG is one of the nicer parks I've been too. Of course it could improve in some areas, but the setting of the park is nice and there is a good coaster line up. In addition, the park still retains some of its old atmosphere from the 60s and 70s, so the original vision and the point of the name "Six Flags" is not completely lost.

Who can pick just one?

Tina is right. There are so many parks that are great in their own way.

Holiday World is a great small park and may be the cleanest that I have ever been to.

Knobels is also a great small park with great rides and good food.

Hershey is a very clean park with great rides.

SFNE was one of the friendliest parks that I have been to. They also have ROS!

CP is probably my favorite just because of the number of thrill rides with SFGadv a close second.

Kennywood has great rides without the lines of CP, PKI and Gadv.

I don't think that I have ever been to a park that I didn't like. I even enjoyed SFKK.

#1 Steel: Sky Rush
#1 Wood: Voyage
#1Park: Holiday World

My award goes to: Cedar Point. The Lake Erie location, cleanliness, staff, professionalism, ride/entertainment/food selection and something else I can't put my finger on.... oh yeah, the coasters. Millennium. Magnum. Raptor. Gemini. Dragster. Even Blue Streak. maXair. Sky Ride.

Runner-ups:

Busch Gardens Williamsburg: also clean, great attention to detail. Higher on quality than quantity IMO when it comes to coaster selection.

Holiday World: very friendly, clean, and its two wood coasters pack a punch!

Six Flags Great America: Great park for B&M fans like myself, and a great example of a regional theme park.

I also rate Kings Island highly being my home park with some nice ACE-friendly people like Jeff Siebert. Some theming and good coasters also add to PKI.

I think almost every park I've been to was a good experience, and I found none to be terrible.

Dental Plan! Lisa Needs Braces.

My faves are Cedar Point (Rides) and IOA (Spiderman and theming)

In b4 close! :)

You won't see me coming...

Mount Olympus is just an amazing little park. Except the fact I almost got killed by the workers on those stupid mopeds. ;)

i'm not sure what to put here..

Um...what Moosh said...except I have never been to Compounce...damn it!
Hersheypark rules! To me, it has gone from lame to extraordinary in the last 10 years. It's a nice size, has some great rides that I can't get enough of, and is just so pretty. When they add a hyper and a drop tower, the place will be Heaven on earth. Being within an few hours drive from me helps also.

PKI just has a certain something I can't explain. Maybe it's that I grew up there and it was the park that made me an enthusiast in the first place. Ever since I was 12, I have been possessed by Beast and King Cobra. Rip out SOB and maybe the place would be perfect.

BGT gave me one of the best times I've ever had at any park. I got to visit often that one year I lived in Orlando. The coasters are pretty good; I even loved GWAZI. My favorite thing about the park is that when you get tired of the rides, you can take a look at all of the beautiful animal exibits. It really fills up the whole day. I will someday go back to FL just for BGT.

CP is nice, but not my fav. Maybe I feel that way because I used to work there. Same goes for IOA. I may have included them as a favorite if I had not spent so much time there...IOA IS incredible, on the other hand.

Some of the park others have mentioned I do like a lot. Some I do not like at all. Some others I regret not having the chance to visit as of yet.

HEY! Yall tricked me into posting on a topic that goes against the TOS. ;)

PCW - I love this park. The feeling you get is amazing. I like it alot though probably because its my home park and probably one of the few parks ive been too. This was the park that started my coaster loving craze and was the park i grew up at. They have a HUDGE selection of flat rides and a Great variety of coasters i.e: a flying coaster, a suspended looping coaster, a LIM launched coaster, a Stand-Up coaster, 3 Wooden Coasters, An Arrow looping Coaster, a Suspended Swinging Coaster, A Junior Suspended Coaster, a Mine Train coaster, a boomerang, and a wild mouse coaster. It may not be an enthusiast selection of rides but it proves to be a great success with the GP. An Astounishing number of flat rides and 14 coasters is quite alot, and the park can pull it off. The ride Ops are very well trained and really get into the jobs. The lines usually move by fast too. Some ride Ops can be rude but thats life. The park is always busy, A free admission to a pretty cool waterpark and just a great place to be. Not to mention Wondermountain and most of the parks natural beauty.

Cedar Point - 6 hours away and let me tell you it is worth the drive everytime. The coaster lineup is amazing there. This is one park that packs a serious punch. It needs some more flat rides but they will probably come in the future. I love the layout of this park and just the over-all atmosphere. One of the best parks in the world.

Six Flags Darien Lake - I know i'm goin' to get blasted for listing this park but well its one of the 3 "big chain" parks ive been too. I love S:ROS, the flats there are pretty cool too. The ride ops can be REALLY slow but the park is unique. It has a camp ground, a waterpark, and 5 major coasters and 1 kiddie coaster. The Ferris Wheel is amazing(so is CP's) and well its only 1.5 hours away. I miss The nightmare at Phantom's Cave though. It was the first coaster i went on in the park and i didnt even know it was going to be a coaster.

If Knoebels had a hyper it would be my favorite park but since it doesn't I have to go with Kennywood.

Sorry to quote something that was said on the last page, but what we have here is someone that has no clue what Knoebel's is about. As much as I'd like it, Knoebel's wouldn't feel right with a 220 foot hypercoaster sticking out. Now a mountain woodie I could deal with, though :).

Anyways, back on topic. My favorite parks would have to be Knoebel's, Hershey, and Busch Gardens Tampa & Williamsburg. All of them have at least one of my favorite rides, all have great food and look nice every time I am there. That's really my criteria for a park, add customer service in the mix also.

Camden Crazy: Praying for the O's to win the World Series since 1990!

Orioles:

Formerly known as TalonJosh1491

1. Walt Disney World-not necissarly any individual park but when taken together and put into a 1 week vacation this park is pure bliss.

2. Busch Gardens Williamsburg-great themeing, great rides, great atmosphere, and a park you dont have to run around like a chicken with your head off in order to ride their best rides.

3. Cedar Point-this falls to #3 because Im a sucker for themeing.

2022 Trips: WDW, Sea World San Diego & Orlando, CP, KI, BGW, Bay Beach, Canobie Lake, Universal Orlando

Again it is hard to choose just one. but my top five are as follows

1. Cedar Point- Great coasters, great location on the lake, and all of the rides are usually open

2. Islands of Adventure- While I don't particularily care for hulk or dd that much, the theming is absolutely mind-blowing and is a great experience.

3. Hersheypark- I love this park and everything about it. Other than the wildcat, every roller coaster at this park was truly amazing and the atmosphere is also breathtaking.

4. Six flags Great Adventure- 2nd to only cedar point in roller coasters, and a good atmosphere.

5. Kennywood- Everything that has been said above, great wooden coasters, great steel, plus probably the best atmosphere.

North Royalton Bears Baseball- 27-1 ranked #2 in plain dealer #2 in state. May 27th Regionals Lake County captians stadium
For the all-around park experience I'd have to say Holiday World & Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

When it comes to coasters though, Cedar Point! If I ever get to SFMM some day, that could change, but only time will tell.
