What is MM's signature coaster?

What do you think MM's signature coaster is?

Goliath, Superman, Riddler's, X, Colossos, Scream, Viper, Batman, Revolution, or does MM really don't have a stand out star coaster?

i havent been there for a LONG time but the origional reason i told the 4 hour plane ride out there was to ride superman...

And signature rides typically aren't clones.

I would definitely say X. No other coaster on the planet in the same ballpark. Or to plagerize Pulp Fiction, "no other coaster playing the same sport." *** Edited 8/5/2004 5:19:29 AM UTC by ApolloAndy***

"Signature" ride at SFMM? Has to be Flashback! ;)

Edit: I wanted to let that just stand on its own (ironic) merits, but then I realized Andy is "spot on" and that X really does deserve all the credit it gets, and THEN some....you don't have to love it, but ya gotta show some RESPECT...much like Elvis, Schilke "dared to ROCK"....:)

Hmmmm.....someone has been spending too much time in Memphis.....;-)

Signature ride? I would have to say Superman. It stands out, it's strange-looking, and it's the first and only of it's kind, no matter how lame the launch is nowadays.

I say its X, its also the first and only of its kind, and like was said before, it is 100% unique, and theres NOTHING else like it, definitly a signature ride!

#1 Canobie Lake Park Fan!!! M/M's top 10 coasters: 1. S:RoS @ SFNE 2. Boulder Dash 3. Montu 4. Yankee Cannonball 5. Kumba 6. Gwazi 7. Mind Eraser 8. Thunderbolt (SFNE) 9. Cyclone (SFNE) 10. B:DK
Well, since SFMM is my home park and I've been there so many times, their signature rollercoaster is X and Deja Vu. X because is the worlds first and only 4D coaster and it's a very intense ride. Deja Vu (even if it is a clone) it is a great ride, my favorite actually. I guess Superman it's also a signature ride, but I really don't care too much about it!

Silver Bullet Can't Wait!

Revolution.

The problem with that statement is that the launches are non-existent now! So now it's even more lame! Just one big giant lawn ornament. Just like it's older, taller red brother at the top of the hill.

Great job SFMM...now you have non functional bookends.

Whichever coaster operates on a given day.... that would be it's signature coaster.

LOL Tina....in place of doing actual real *TR-type TRs*, I always manage to give small bits and pieces scattered throughout ALL the other threads. It keeps those playing the home game on their toes, ROFL!

But definitely, THE "one of a kind" ride at SFMM that really could/would/should be copied is X....maybe a tad shorter next time (as per the designer's advice, LOL), but definitely something there should be more of....instead of more of those flying coasters....;)

The 4-D is here, and it's here to stay, but the problems MUST be worked out first so that the NEXT one can operate *reliably*...

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

I'm going to say Colossous. It put Magic Mountain on the map and is one of the most photographed coasters in the world. It did for MM what Maggie did for Cedar Point.
I would have to say X, and for any park who has that coaster as their signature coaster needs something new. It was just one of those ideas that sounded good on paper, but come the actual thing, the less said the better...
Revolution - Used to be a classic beauty. Now it is a miserable piece of crap.

Yay for Magic Mountain.

Revolution, like the park you can see so much potential but are not allowed to experience it. Runner up is Colossus for the same reason. X should be their signature but feels like a forgery.
Superman is the ride that the park is best known for. While Revolution is a classic ride and X is unique, Six Flags got more coverage for the building of Superman than any other ride in their park. Especially because it hasn't been cloned more than once, the ride is unique and definitely the signature attraction...

Which makes it even stranger that it has been SBNO for so long, as I'm would have thought that Six Flags knew that...

Once again I'm with the Skipper on this one. The big C is hard to miss and has defined the park for over a quarter of a century now.

i would have to say colossus. it has been in many movies (most famous "kiss meets the phantom of the park"). then x i guess (i have never ridden it).
Was that sarcastic fanofwood? I've never heard of that movie and it is certainly not as famous as National Lampoon's Vacation or the show Step By Step (which had the coaster on the ocean by covering the parking lot with fake "water").
Kiss Meets the phantom of the park is real: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0077788/

Wahoo, I always wondered what coaster/park that was in Step by Step. Thanks for clearing it up.
