What is Knoebels adding?

So, are "up to 8 cabins" it or will there be an announcement soon? I still don't understand the whole "up to" thing. Besides- depending on where they're building the cabins there is probably enough wood to build them from the trees being replaced. :)

I've often wondered from time to time, how to write good poetry- and make it all... Work.

Consider that KNOEBELS LUMBER is right down the street...(;)) I think the "up to 8" is based more on available space than on any other factors...

Unless...maybe SFI has only allocated Dick a certain amount of money with which to expand his park....ROFL!

bill, certain that the "up to 8" cabins are NOT the only addition for the year...

But if it is a ride, what on earth can they put up in 2 months? It seems a little too late for a major ride, maybe another kiddie ride, that's all I think we will get...

A flatride takes very little time to put up if it's a portable model. Rides at fairs and carnivals can be set up in a few hours.

Knoebels likes the portables. The last 10 years or so there are only a few that are park models the rest are portable. The Skyride, Sklooosh, Balloon Race, Swings, Waterslides, and Twister are the only permanent rides I can think of off the top of my head put in in the last 10 years or so.

SFEG's flying coaster was built in a couple months.

Dave Dragon, go Dave Dragon, and the Star Force Five!

Isn't Bullet a portable coaster? :) Sorry, I refuse to give up on my initial idea... ;)

Actually it should be 9 cabins shouldn't it? If that one in the pic is new, and Kozmo says 8 more that "should" equal 9. But then again how do we know there aren't a few more hidden we don't know about.

Is it April yet? :)

But....if Kozmo is living in that one, it's not available for rentals....;)
I always thought he lived in his Kulbhouse in Kiddieland!

There's an Invertigo for sale that was mentioned in the King Kobra thread. It seems like it would be a nice, inexpensive fit, and it's really marektable.

Never Has Gravity Been So Uplifting.

I think that Invertigo has been sold already, correct me if I am wrong. I guess they could get Bullet [if it really is Bullet we are getting] up in 2 months because it is portable, but I still think it is highly unlikely. Where would it go? and if it would replace Whirlwind, how long would it take to dismantle it? There are too many little things that make me think this Bullet thing isn't happening..

Josh, who is still hoping for a mountain woodie in '05 ;)

Since Bullet is overseas I highly doubt Knoebels would get it. Just to get it over to the States would probably cost as much as the ride itself.

When Twister was built in '99, construction was slow (almost moving backwards, it seemed) during the winter months. The construction didn't pick up until spring (when you would have expected the ride to open) and it didn't officially open until late July. I wouldn't dismiss a major ride yet... just don't necessarily expect anything before mid-summer!

Given the time frame we're looking at, I tend to thnk more along the lines of a splashy flat ride for this year....maybe a coaster in '05...

bill, who was *really* hoping that the Jr. Schmeck would end up in Elysburg...

A coaster... or some variation of that concept ;)
I actually wouldn't expect anything more then the cabins this year. I am OK with that, they really added a lot for them last year. It certainly won't deter me from visiting many times this coming season.

But, I do agree with you Bill, wish Dick had gotten that Jr. Schmeck too. I am sure Little AMA will give it a good home though.

Black 7 is correct. No new rides, only new cabins.

Those who know tell Moosh.

Hobbes: "What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do?"
Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."

That's fine- a new ride for 2005 will be a perfect high school graduation gift. :)
