What is Knoebels adding?

I was just checking out their website.

http://www.knoebels.com/whatsnew.htm

Does anyone know what they are adding?

I'm wondering the same thing. They should announce it anytime now. Maybe this weekend I'll drive past the park as see if I can see anything.
If it's what I heard, we're in for a treat :)

Now THATS what I call a treat. I will be there this summer for the first time, so everything is new to me. :)

"Up to" 8 more cabins? Whats up with that?

I've often wondered from time to time, how to write good poetry- and make it all... Work.
Depends if lumber's on sale I guess.

Why does a used S-kopf come to mind when I hear that question? Was this announced somehow, somewhere (in rumor form) or did I just have a dream about it?

I can't remember!

OMG I have a new sig!!!
I mentioned how great Bullet would look in Whirlwind's spot in this topic, if that's what you're talking about.

I know ONE of the times an Anton-> KG rumor cropped up was when PGA took down their Anton shuttle looper....space consideration would make it appealing for Knoebels in addition to the "classic feel" of the ride....Alas, it seems that was never meant to be.

With DK's rather obvious ties to the coaster community, I don't find it the least bit surprising to see those rumors. What I do find a little surprsing is that along with virtually every mention of a "new to Knoebels" steel coaster comes the idea of it *replacing* Whirlwind....can't Whirlwind stay AND get another steelie in there....I realize a large shoe-horn might be necessary, LOL...

Hey Gator! I think I mentioned that PGA's shuttle would look good at Knoebels considering at the time it would have been the only launch coaster in PA and a cheap way to market it as PA's only launched coaster.
Whirlwind doesnt take up a lot of space... let's remember that it occupies a spot that was once used for a Jet Star. And those things are pretty small!

I think that the "Whirlwind removal" rumors have to do with the fact that the ride never seems to have a line, and is thus probably not making a lot of money. Still, I see no reason why Whirlwind couldn't co-exist with another steel coaster, especially if that "new" steel coaster is not a looping ride.

Actually some weekend I see a line for the Whrilwind. It may not be huge but I saw it to where it may be a 3 possibly 4 train wait. If you even consider that a line.

For as much as I hate to say it *shudders* I think a Boomerang would fit Knoebels perfectly in the same spot as the Whirlwind. Sure there's one at Hershey but it's compact, fairly cheap especially a used one, and at least a tad more exciting than the Whirlwind.

If this rumor is true I'd like Bullet to come here and Whirlwind out. I hate Whirlwind, not just because it is a Vekoma [they make good rides, don't get me wrong], but the ride is horrible. One of the roughest rides I have been on, and I get major whiplash on the brake run. Bring Bullet here, it will run Horse Collar free!

According to what Dick Knoebel said at PPP, there's going to be a lot of general park improvements, in addition to whatever else they end up recieving.
I'd be really happy with a Schwarzkopf shuttle. Doesn't Six Flags America have an Anton Masterpiece in storage? I'd rather see that then a Boomerang. Whirlwind isn't great, but it is a coaster, and I'd rather see an additional coaster without that being removed. Knoebels is due for a major attraction, and I am sure that they can make the space for it.
No, SFA has an Arrow shuttle loop in storage.

I knew that, but I don't know why I was thinking Schwarzkopf. Just one of those days I guess. Hey, an Arrow shuttle wouldn't be bad either. ;) I'd just hate walking up the steps.
They're adding something. That's for sure ;)

And no, I don't know what it is, although I have just a few wishes...
