What if CP doesn't add anything for 2002?

And.... calixrider...
That's a little thing we like to call a Monopoly.
(not the board game)

When you have a monopoly, like Microsoft, you're basically screwed!

They can charge whatever they want & put up whatever they want whenever they want because they have no real competition!

Who would you compete against if your theory happened? Small family owned parks? I think not! (btw: for the sake of argument, I'm not counting Paramount).

Just like Microsoft, there'd be your alternative that some goto and feel is better (ie: Linux or Macantosh), but all in all... everyone sticks to Windows because it's there and shoved right in your face. Everywhere you turn... Windows windows windows.

Same if Six Flags or Cedar Fair bought out each other... everywhere you turn for an amusement park... same old same old!

Same Park + Same Park = no variety, no competition, and no business wars to win the consumer!

Also CP will definatly add something in 2002, CP are still very pissed they are losing the rollercoaster title this year so will want to get back at SFMM immediatly, no dought it will be the rumoured TA2K(Double Ride) Lets Hope"

HAHAHAHA! That's funny. I can just imagine CP with a collective frown on their face...
NOTHING NEW FOR CP IN 2002? SIMPLY WON'T HAPPEN :)

MIKEY :)

i agree with olympic, they must have had a major loan to create mf and it took them 4 years after mantis. this year they are spending like 5 million on additions to the park. so for them to get a good coaster that broke records would probably cost 10-20 million unless it was a wood. so they could be spending up to 50 million in 3 years for a park that is open 4 months out of a year. disney can do it because they get a lot more people and are open all year. sf can do it because they are NOT inderpendantly funded like cf(cedar point wont borrow money from knotts to add a bunch of coasters in one year) sf did this with woa and they have left their not so popular parks without new attractions for years. i dont know how cp's attendance was last year nor how it will be this year but unless it is sky rocketing, i just dont think they got the dough to bring another top quality attraction. if they wanted to be cheap, just to get the record back, they could get a kiddie which, in my opinion, is the only way theyll get a new coaster.

homepark=knotts berry farm (monte rules)
I really would like to see CP add a nice CCI woodie.

However, I would also like to see CP take another route, and add nothing. Instead of spending $$$ on a new ride/coaster, how about fixing up their old rides ie retracking Mean Streak, and making Disaster Transport's theming actually good.
