Could anything make Mean Streak a world-class ride?
When I rode Mean Streak in 1993, it was a world-class ride. While it lacked the features of a "traditional" wooden coaster (namely, airtime), I found the ride to be fast, furious, and quite disorienting. And then it rained!
Just like Hercules and the Riverside/SFNE Cyclone, Mean Streak was once a respected coaster (although I believe it always lived in the shadow of the similar-but-wilder Texas Giant).
A bigger impulse fits perfectly with CP's plan. Besides, 3 impulses in the U.S. is not exactly "all over."

Sorry An Impulse doesnt excite me..I mean they already have a bunch of those all over! CP should get something at least original! I was planning to go to CP next year I hope they get something more.
Yea, they have so many of those all over. Where??? I think you need to check your facts. CP will get something original...the tallest and fastest impulse ever made. How's that for originality? Oh wait, they always have the tallest and fastest of something, hmmmm gee that sucks(extreme sarcasm). If you don't want the impulse, don't get in line. Quite yer griping and go to SFWoA.

I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead
Maybe if you'd ridden an impulse, you'd be excited. Maybe if you'd been to Cedar Point and realized they don't often make bad decisions, you'd be excited. Maybe, if you were old enough to have a driver's license, which I suspect you aren't, you'd be excited about driving to CP. Maybe you should be excited that you have the time, technology, money, ability and freedom to ride coasters in this time of war, instead of whining.

If it's a double impulse (for capacity reasons, ankin to Magic Mountain's Superman), then I guess I'd be happy as that being the only new ride.
If it's a record breaking height, such as 410 feet, and actually almost reaches that height, then I'll also be happy with that as the only new ride.
If it's neither of the first two... I sincerely hope they get a couple new flats, such as a Huss Giant ride or something.

Why don't you come and live in Denver and have Elitch Gardens be your home park. Then I'll move to Ohio and go to Cedar Point every weekend.Try having Elitch Gardens as your home park and haven't gotton any new coaster at the park since 1999. I sure would love an impulse at Elitch Gardens.

How can you be disappointed with an impulse? I would love getting an impulse at Elitch Gardens. I agree with TriBiggar on "spoiled brats."
