What else is Cedar Point going to get?

What other surprise do you think that Cedar Point is going to get for next year?

I was somewhat disappointed in the impulse, because Six Flags has one.  I hope they get a B&M for next year, any kind of B&M.

Denise Dinn-Larick, pres. of CCI and Charlie Dinn's daughter, should tell CP they get NO new CCI's until they fix her father's masterpiece, Mean Streak.  Then, and only then, CCI should give them a new masterpiece.

Geez, some people are never satisfied
If, and only IF, Cedar Point was to add more than one coaster next year (in order to retain its title as the park with the most coasters), you can bet it will be something small like a Wild Mouse.

A super-sized Impulse (if that is what it is going to be) should be more enough!

Would re-tracking Mean Streak help at all?

Spoiled brats... You know at my home park (Big Chiefs), there are only 4 coasters, and one is a kiddie coaster, one is a junior coaster. For me, that is plenty, and I doubt they are getting a thing next year, except maybe another go kart track. If an impulse isn't good enough for you, you have serious problems. I would (almost) kill for a super-sized impulse at Big Chiefs, and I wouldn't complain that SFGAm has a normal one, either.

Does CCI know how to make a bad coaster?
Could anything make Mean Streak a world-class ride?

There was some discussion of this on GTTP and I think getting something similar to a nearby park makes incredible sense. I don't know who started the "2 parks close to each other need different rides" thing but I don't follow.

Last year I skipped CP for the first time to ride X-Flight and S:UE specifically. Had CP had a impulse, they'd have probably gotten my money.

Articulate trains, or a major re-profiling with the removal of the trims would make MS a world class ride. I watched America's Greatest RC Thrills and MS looked incredibly smooth and super fast...if only there were articulate trains on that monster...

How can you be disappointed with an impulse? I would love getting an impulse at Elitch Gardens. I agree with TriBiggar on "spoiled brats."

Why don't you come and live in Denver and have Elitch Gardens be your home park. Then I'll move to Ohio and go to Cedar Point every weekend.Try having Elitch Gardens as your home park and haven't gotton any new coaster at the park since 1999. I sure would love an impulse at Elitch Gardens.

You are a spoiled brat...

Only five? Come on now, an Impulse is a couple hundred feet long! At one can per 5 feet, that's a lot of new cans!

Funny you should mention the trash cans. Looking at my pictures from CP, there must be at least 2 or 3 cans in every shot! The addition of the one ride alone should add at least 15. CP has to have the record on cans. If you take pictures at CP, you're probaly taking a picture of a waste can.
I noticed this weekend they already had probably a couple hundred cans stacked up for storage in the picnic pavilion up by Raptor's exit.  CP does have a lot of trash cans, but it probably does help to cut down on the litter.  It just really pisses me off when I see people that are too lazy to throw their wrappers in a can when its maybe 10 feet away at maximum!
