What else are you playing?

I assume that most of you are video game fans in general as well as DDR fans. So what are you playing right now? If you all are interested enough, this could turn into an ongoing thread where we discuss the latest stuff, like the "progress reports" thread. Or, Jeff could close it. ;)

Me, I just got a GameCube for Christmas, so I'm working my way through the tournaments on Mario Golf Toadstool Tour and trying to unlock the final set of tracks on Mario Kart Double Dash. I also got the Midway Treasures collection, so I'm playing a lot of Klax and Marble Madness.

Before last week, I was getting bored with DDRMAX2, so I broke out my Super NES and worked my way through Yoshi's Island. I still think it's the best game in the entire Mario series.

I'm currently playing the original SSX Tricky. I suck at the showoff circuit though. I'm not really a video game freak , I just play DDR whenever I can.

I also play basketball , and Mario 64 is still , very possibly the best game ever.Second is Pac-Man.

Mario Kart Double Dash (fun at parties), Kingdom Hears (PS2 bargain) and I just picked up Splinter Cell on Xbox (Target for $15). Splinter Cell is way cool.

Ive been working my way through Final Fantasy X-2, finished Def Jam Vendetta a few weeks ago and playing a lil Dynasty Warriors(sux).
Castlevania: Lament of Innocence (PS2) is sucking down pretty much ALL my console time lately. Other games worth playing are F-Zero GX on the Gamecube, and Knights of the Old Republic on my XBox.

Jeff, you should've waited, since you could've gotten TWO great games for the price of one....

From Gamespot:

Buy Prince of Persia, get Splinter Cell free

Ubisoft announced a January promotion in which those who purchase any version of Prince of Persia will get a free copy of Splinter Cell for the same platform.

Here's something to look forward to in 2004: Ubisoft has announced that, during the month of January, those who buy its highly acclaimed action adventure game, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, will get a free copy of its highly acclaimed stealth action game, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, as a bonus. The deal, which will be available "at all major retailers" according to Ubisoft, covers the PC, Xbox, GameCube, and PlayStation 2 versions of Prince of Persia; depending on which version gamers choose, they'll get the respective version of Splinter Cell. Specific details on how the bonus game will be redeemed were not available, and presumably, those who've already purchased Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time will not be eligible for the free offer. However, those holding off on picking up copies of both games will be in luck.

Well, as I do not own any game consoles, I only play PC games. I am playing Madden 2004 in franchise mode ...as soon as I get bored with it, I will install Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

My PC is mostly sitting idle these days (game-wise, anyway -- there's still a huge stack of CDs being turned into MP3s for my media server). It's waiting on Half Life 2. When I fire it up for games, it's Homeworld 2 and Warcraft III for the most part.

That Prince of Persia/Splinter Cell deal looks great. I know one place I'm poking my head in today... :)

I also play Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. Very Realistic!

NCAA 2004, and Tiger Woods. Recently, my PS2 is getting the Disc Read Error, so I don't know what the future holds. I didn't even get to try out my brand new Madden 2004...

I've been playing FFTA for GBA and SSX 3 for PS2. The SSX series is probably my favorite series to be recently released. (As opposed to SMB's). I also play a lot of Dr. Mario and Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo on emulators on my computer.

Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."

Star Wars Jedi Academy is awesome, that's on the computer. The graphics are like no other PC game, and the characters and villians are very realistic. I'm also playing the Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King on ps2. That game is fun, even though your only weapons are swords and arrows. I was also going to buy True Crimes Streets of LA for ps2, i heard that is GTA 10 times better.
All the James Bonds (Agent Under Fire, Nightfire, and soon to be Double or Nothing) are all fun multiplayer games. In Agent Under Fire, I like to put the proximity mines on the ground or on the ceiling.

Also, I like RCT2, Karaoke Revolution, and Fairly OddParents (don't ask me why.) :)

I got back into RCT2 a week or so ago, but what I'm really into now is The Sims. My circle of friends have all designed characters based upon one another. It's crazy. New Years Eve, there were 3 laptops with The Sims on it, with two people on each laptop. The remaining 3 people were playing pool (I was playing pool) ;)

Another game I've been into thanks to friends is Quake III Arena. LAN party fragging goodness. :)

Just waiting for Halo 2....

I am a HUGE fan of the Final Fantasy series...in fact I picked up FF X-2 for Xmas. My favorite is Final Fantasy VII (Sephiroth=AWESOME!!)

I also have a new addiction----Karaoke Revolution....neat little game....

I like Fighting games such as Soul Calibur II

Then I have this really pretty and engrossing game call Viewtiful Joe.

RollerCoasters aren't my whole life... they just make my life whole :) EBeth's Realm!
ebeth, have you watched X-Play on TechTV? A few weeks ago they had a short segment about a short movie sequel to FF7. They showed a 30 second clip of the hour-long movie, and it was a beautifully done Squaresoft rendering of Cloud and Sephiroth fighting.

There's also rumors going around about Square/Enix (Squenix!) re-doing FF7; keeping the storyline the same, but improving the graphics up to FFX "standards".
