What do you want in a themepark?

If I were to design one I would want a Theme park with the theming of Disney/Universal. I would want to have pleny of coasters with some for the younger ones and definately some for us thrill seekers. I would definately want a BIG highly themed Intamin and some highly themed B&M's. I think an arabiened themed invert would be pretty nice. Also I think it would be neat for a family section themed to a back yard but you are bug-sized so everything is huge. I want a theme park with a whole different experience for the whole family. I want the magic of disney and the thrills of CP. For the characters I could have video game characters- mario, moshi, master chief, armie ppl, sonic, and others. But maybe I could get disney characters instead somehow. Well I want a theme park that is simply amazing.
The Coasters from CP and GL with the food and hospitality of DollyWood. As far as theming, I'd lean toward DollyWood on that too.

You might need to edit, again, FLYINGSCOOTER, as you have not spelled "close" backwards.

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!

Does this have something to do with the park supposedly in planning for Pittsburgh? :)

I want Islands of Adventure * 2. Although, a mario/nintendo theme park or land would be pretty amazing.

^^^No wonder it didn't look right to me. :)
thanks. *** Edited 6/2/2006 8:39:17 PM UTC by FLYINGSCOOTER***

I like FlyingScooters ideas. Great rides with the Dollywood hospitality. If you haven't done Dollywood, you should. And, it keeps getting better.
I must say, Europapark convinced me somehow - it's a mixture of thrill, excitement, adventure, science fiction, playground, enchanted forest and miracle chamber.
And everything on a grande scale!

airtime for everyone
Ive always kind of wondered why video games haven't made more of an appearance in theme parks, and agree a Nintendo/Sega themed park would be pretty cool, theres tons of potential and possibilities for rides and attractions.

Like, can you image a MarioKart GoKarts ride? Amazing.

This is the theme park(S) I wanna design and build in my huge secret location. I have only told minor details but trust me this place will be amazing.
As Long as it's built in Nebraska and isn't landlocked in the sence that it has nowhere to expand like other projcts they have tryed. Maybe if someone smart built one in Nebraska it would last. Like I have said before if I can get private funding I'd build one.
Who remembers TitanFan13? :)

Can someone clue me in about TitanFan13.

What do I look for in a themepark/amusement park - to have FUN! What else can I expect to get out of it?

Ok first thing I would want is a "hands off the wallet" policy. Don't charge 10 dollars to park or 5 dollars a drink. Don't remove free rides to install pay per experience attractions.

Second Theming on the scale of IOA to totally imerse me into the park. Example of what not to do: Play Star Trek clips on monitors and claim to be the first Star Trek themed coaster.

Third flat/family rides are amust and plenty of them. Kennywood and Cedar Point are good examples.

Fourth coasters, coasters coasters. All types and gimmicks.

Yeah, and instead of a Disney castle in the middle, it can be the Peach's Castle. Dark rides could take people through Bowser's Dungeon or other video game storyboards. Themed lands could be Donkey Kong's jungle, the Mushroom Kingodom, Hyrule, Planet Zebes(I can see a shooter dark ride themed around Metroid in there), etc. An area with launch coaster could be themed around Sonic, maybe indoor. Possibly using the basic Disney forumula just around video games/Nintendo. Costumed characters and what not. I could see this in Japan before America though, but it could still do well here to push their newest stuff.

First off JOberts15, you shouldn't be so defiant about everything. What I think you meant was that you definitely wanted some rides for the thrill seeker and you definitely wanted a big highly-themed Intamin.

Oh, and I think you meant to say that you wanted an Arabian-themed invert, as arabiened is not a word. Seriously though, how are you going to get your investors to take you seriously if you can't spell?

Lastly, doesn't Disney/Pixar have a lock on the whole Bug's Life thing? I would think your concept might raise some eyebrows of a few lawyers out west. Good luck with your park.

Welcome to Coasterbuzz and the (usually) good-natured ribbing:)
